[H] Ramakristian's proceedure - questions

Post by homeopathy-bounces@homeolist.com »

Hi friends,

It has been pretty slow - on my email anyway, maybe the virus
which, thank goodness so far has not hit.

So, thought I would ask some questions, if anyone has thoughts and
suggestions, I am happy to hear them.

This involves a client of mine presents like a rhus tox, and has been on
that since I started to see him almost 2 years now. Nux in LM potency
has done a lot. He actually had a positive Lyme disease test and the
homeopathy has gotten him through that.

Problem is, the remedy doesn't hold. He felt 'cured' for 6 months or so
and went without any remedy but then went down very hard, came back, and
more Rhus helps but just isn't boosting the energy up.

Family Hx of cancer, both parents died of it and some grandparents.
We tried Carc 200 C, he was 'wonderful for 36 hours' and then relapsed
again.

So, I went to Ramakristian's dosing schedule with the Carcinosin, and
that worked nicely for the week, but not much longer after that, and
back to the Rhust tox in LM (took 2 or 3 times) for the next week. Now
back on Carc in that bottle with the 10 tsp daily and every 15 minute
dose. He says he is doing much better.

It seems to be working, but I am now operating outside of my comfort
level. Do I just keep him on this program and see how it goes?

Ramakristian goes up potencies eventually, When and why?

BTW, I did ask him to get a blood test (electrolytes, CBC, Liver
functions) and maybe that will shed a light somewhere, but he will have
the test next week and that means he will have been on the above
protocall for almost a month.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Hi Dr. Ramachandra,
Thank you for your answer.

He is taking the Carc in 200c 10 times a day in water, and Rhus
on alternate weeks on an as needed schedule.

I am hoping to clarify your suggestion to me. If the first dose
of Carcinosin 200C held for 36 hours, then do you feel I should go up to
the 1M right away? Since there is that family history do you feel the
higher potencies are more indicated since he does not appear to have
cancer?

I was thinking of trying Anacardium as Sankaran considers that
one in the Cancerous miasm, but was waiting to see if the regime he is on
started to sag.

Your answers are much appreciated

Hi, Maria.

Could you clarify a bit as to the doses you're giving? Is the Rhus-t also being given according to the "plussing method" -- i.e., ten doses a day in water?

A couple of things make Dr. Ramakrishnan's method work without producing severe aggravations, it seems to me. One is that the week of nosode (Carcinosin) at ten doses a day within a 1.5 to 2.5 time period (also important) is then balanced out by an alternating week of the "organ specific" remedy at the same intensity. Also, rather than keeping the same solution of the two remedies, Dr. Ramakrishnan has the patient discard the solutions after one week, and start over again from 200c the next time that remedy is used.

In addition, Dr. Ramakrishnan very assiduously separates out this method as to be used only with cancer. I may have missed something in the initial post -- is this a cancer treatment? He treats other serious diseases successfully with a different method, alternating a split dose (four times in 24 hours) of the nosode and the constitutional or disease-specific remedy on a weekly or biweekly basis, generally 200c of both remedies.

If you are giving Carcinosin 200c ten doses a day, you would want to wait for several months before raising the potency to 1M, and probably would never go to 10M according to Dr. Ramakrishnan's method. If you did finally go to 10M, it would be after a very long time.
In any case, I see some possible concerns in the scenario you're describing....

I have a feeling that I may have misunderstood something in your summary, and if so, please forgive me for making these comments... Hope it goes well with your patient.

Rosemary
