Repeating remedy

Post by Homeo Bond 007 »

Modern homeopaths repeat the same remedy in the same potency without knowing
the sensitiveness of the patient. I think, this procedure could be harmful
in sensitive patients as it can derive back gear of health. Without watching
the effect of the prescribed remedy is it not harmful to repeat and repeat
remedy. Is this the standard way of practice?

A well trained homeopath will not even *give* (let alone repeat) a remedy
without first understanding the patient's sensitivity. This is ascertained
in casetaking.

Mindless and excessive repetition of any remedy can indeed be harmful;
that's why basic understanding of homeopathy is necessary before one begins
prescribing (for others or for oneself). Thank you for pointing that out.

This should never be the standard way of practice. As a rule, the second
thing to do (that is, some time after the first prescription) is frequently
(not always, though :-)) more difficult (for me) than 'just' finding the
first remedy.
