Dear Rhonda, thanks for sharing the case with us. Here are a few thoughts I
had when going through the case notes.

I think a there is a great deal in this case that might come under the
'maintaining cause' situation - the cholesterol medications; the fibre
supplements; the dentures; the antibiotics; the surgery. All this needs to
be peeled away to be able to see the case.

She obviously likes medications! Possibly the merc sol was working on an
acute layer and seemed to be a good choice. The trouble with Nux Vom is that
there are 100's of 'grumpy' remedies and it would be useful to have some
more mentals and emotionals to fully appreciate why she is like this. Can
you give more information on this. The left sided throat sx might bring in
many of the snake rx - if she responded well to Merc, she might do better on
Merc Iod rub (a left sided merc) - so we really could do with more sx on
this.

One very curious symptom which is worth exploring is the extreme thirst and
dryness of the throat and yet she doesn't have much desire to quench that
dryness or thirst - you have to explore that further.

If this were my case I think I would be looking at a bowel nosode to
unblock, try again to get her on a more preventative life style and the rest
of the case makes me think about Bryonia, possibly Hepar sulph.
