Dear Joy & VT:
In defense of Sankaran's technique, it requires much more probing to get the "vital sensation" than VT suggests. In my understanding of it, the homeopath cannot take a single expression ("My life is falling apart") from a patient at face value; he or she has to keep the patient focused on what that feels like to the patient. That's getting the vital sensation that permeates the case. Similarly, the homeopath can't link up a couple of seemingly related symptoms; you have to confirm that these are linked to the vital sensation, otherwise you're guessing at connections.
Unfortunately, Sankaran has not yet developed a schema for the Boraginaceae, so we either have to wait for his next book or do a repertory extraction of our own for the family to see if we can figure out the leading sensations. Maybe there is a "falling apart" sensation, but if so it will be subtly different than that found in the Leguminosae.
Peace,
Cinnabar

Dear Cinnabar,
I agree with you and thanks for the clarification.
Since symph worked as smm in this case, no other remedy can be
smm to this case by def of smm. My entire endevour is only to
know if by using Rajan's method we get to the same answer
albeit in a different route, and if we are not ,where are we going wrong.
Now it is clear to me that if we need to work out the case by
Rajan's method we need to take care at the time of case taking itself.
This does not mean that Joy did less but we need to do more if
we want to use Rajan's method by way of exploring the
sensations of the patient in other areas of his being as well as
get confirmations in his less compensated states
dreams, hobbies, interests and the like.
Once again Thank you Joy, for this interesting case.
with best wishes,
V.T.Yekkirala
