Echinacea and antibiotics(was a question for vets)

Post by Rhonda Bird »

No, they don't cancel each other out. You can use both together quite
happily, but if you had a choice, use Echinacea, or better still the
homeopathic echinacea.

Cheers, Rhonda

Logically, homeopathic echinacea will have an approximately REVERSE
affect of herbal.

homeopathic

Probably the prescribing of homeopathic Rx ought to be based on
symptoms...

Hi Dave,

I've had this same thought,
but I think it's logical only at first blush, and not quite the whole
picture... Recall, remedies cure symptoms which could be caused by the
substance *in overdose*. But small material doses have also produced quite
creditable homeopathic cures (e.g. Hahnemann's work before developing
potentization!).

Various remedies have acute prescribing picture which is basically a
sub-group of their herbal prescribing picture -- goldenseal comes to mind,
and I would presume Echinacea also? If prescribing on a general picture,
herbal is probably the better way to go (broader range of action); but if
you have a nice, specific picture which fits the remedy, then you can expect
that the potentized version is likely to give deeper and quicker cure.

Cheers,
Shannon

Right.
Prescribe on symptoms (homeopathically), *NOT* on
"well, this is good as an herbal treatment, so let's give it potentized"
(which is completely illogical)

(which is completely illogical)

this issue is more complex i think. since: material doses can act
energetically. eg: Hn gave drop doses, as did Rademacher and Burnett.
