Dr. Sankaran and his method

Post by Dr. Jill »

Dear All:
When someone in a previous posting asked me to "briefly" describe Dr. Sankaran's method, I felt at a loss.

I think Cinnaban did an excellent job of explaining Dr. Sankaran and Dr. Shah's new method.
For anyone who hasn't seen it in action, it could be very difficult to visualize it and see how it might be different from what we are trying to do in our practice.

I work mostly with animals so his method has limited applicability for me.

But it is fascinating.
The one aspect I found very useful was his breakdown of the plant families into different themes and suggested miasm categories. This has helped me use many more smaller remedies within a family than I used before, with success.
If you are satisfied with the success in your practice then perhaps there is no need for you to look at any other method than the one you are using.

However when Dr. Shah presented this method to the seminar audience, he presented it in the framework of a new method that has helped him "solve" some very difficult cases that he has struggled with for many years.
He also showed us through taking live cases over a period of time, how this new method led him to find the remedies he finally prescribed by the end of the seminar for some very difficult live cases presented to him in the seminar.

I think starting with Dr. Sankaran's books The Insight Into Plants, might help explain this method further.
Best, Jill
