My mother in law has now started to actually eat the tea-bag sandwiches she makes!! Now is this Desires tea grounds (Alum!!!) or Plica? Alum 200C doesn't seemed to have done much on the odd occasions I have managed to get one down her!

Why not opt for an LM dose whenever you visit her, if you really feel Alum
fits the case.

Alzheimers

Post by Rochelle »

Dear Joy,
Because I don't do LM's!!!! My husband gave her a 200C tonight and found more teabag sandwiches 1/2 eaten in the bin. We are hoping to get some respite care for her in a local home for a couple of weeks so she can be cared for as yesterday she nearly burnt the flat down by putting a microwave ready meal on for too long. We have taken the toaster away (she kept putting already toasted toast in it), disconnected the cooker (chicken done to a crisp) and she has care workers in twice a day!! She has a swollen knee which she won't rest it as she is constantly up and about. Not Ars. as she has totally no fears. She was a brilliant woman having brought up a family and worked in a hearing community when she had been left totally deaf since meningitis when she was 8. She still lip reads fluently and has always just spoken as if she has a sore throat. Her father had Alzheimer's. I have found it very difficult to prescribe for her because she has not been able to tell me how she felt and on top of that she has been on allopathic Aricept for 5 years!!

Have you considered Arg Nit. Why not just try LM's, - to say you 'don't do
them' is like saying you 'don't do Nat Mur.' I am sure once you try them you
will realise their versatility.

best wishes, Joy

Why Arg. Nit ? I have 500+ Rx including different potencies in dry dose pillules and MP and basically I have not had a problem using them and don't wish to go down the LM road. I have enough coping with what I have. I do make up water potencies sometimes.
I got my Society Journal today and saw your article there. Well done!!
Will you be at the conference at Keele?

Thanks Rochelle. I was thinking about Arg Nit mainly because of the
"peculiar mental impulses, tormented by strange ideas and emotions, errors
of perception, irrational motives for actions, does foolish things, feel
they are lost beyond hope, perversion of senses, irrational - does strange
things and comes to strange conclusions, great confusion of mind, confusion
when eating, delusion he/she has softening of the brain, delusion has an
incurable disease, delusion thinks everything changed, etc."

For me it would be one of the first remedies to consider in Alzheimers (if
the whole case fits of course).

Probably won't be able to make Keele.

The problem is that she thinks she is fine!!!! But the rest is interesting. I will take a good look at it.

There's a good line up at Keele and that is why I have booked. I usually go to Ireland but didn't this year.

The stuff coming out of the news is driving me nuts. First they do a study of
nuns in North Dakota and they say some nuns have alzheimers and they don't
have plaques and some nuns didn't have Alzheimers and they did have plaques.
Then this study or some other study was reported years later on Sixty Minutes
as common knowledge. Then another study comes out a day ago saying that the
plaques that end up strangling the brain are now found 20 years before
Alzheimers in the retina of the eye using tumeric . What happened, I'm
guessing, is that someone had tumeric thrown in their eyes by an angry spouse
and they went to the doctor and the doctor found the ambloid plaques in their
retina. But since the plaques are neither here nor there as something to
configure in Alzheimers....who cares? Now it is attributed to the third
diabetes...brain diabetes...OR it is being sleep deprived for a long time. Or
you're not doing enough puzzles. I know what is going to happen to me when my
brain folds over. I'll be in the nursing home unable to talk or reason..but
i'll be able to finish a soduko puzzle in 5 minutes without using a pencil to
take notes. If it is all about diet and excercise....then why aren't nursing
homes geared for this....why is a person left in a wheelchair for hours during
the day and fed the most atrocious and vile and disgusting food on the planet
and they end up dying of bedsores way before alzheimers eats away at their
brain(if that is what is happening)..

You know how boys will be attracted to the most pretty girls. No matter how many times they are told that pretty girls do not necessarily make the best wives, they will congregate around the pretty girls like flies around garbage. Even I have done it. ("even", get real Roger). Our thinking is pushed around and bullied by our desires. The very same thing happens with food and exercise. We the people have been told umpteen million times that our health and happiness depends upon the quality of the food that we eat, our sleep, and our exercise; but it like falls on deaf ears. I want cookies and cream ice cream. I don't want the big salad. It is as simple as that. We don't want to hear that our health depends upon quality food. Then you toss in greed, another desire, into the mix, and old people in nursing homes get the shaft.
