aconite for chronic ailments

Post by Felipe Cárdenas Támara »

Dear members of the list:

It seems that aconite is a short acting remedy. But is happens tha a patient of mine seems to need it as a constitutional remedy, buy I´m afraid of the aggravations due to the extreme weakness of the patient. She suffers from asthma from the age of four years old, sudden attacks, worse on cold weather. Since that age se has been using the most sophisticated allopathic remedies developved for asthma. I star it using LM potencies starting at Lm1 and gone up to LM2 (Aconite). She had a terrible aggravation, not due to the remedy but to an environmental condition. A remodelation was
carried out at her apartment and she suffered a terrible asthma attack. She had to be carried to the hospital and know she feels better after the general treatment on cortisone's.
She wants to keep her homeopathic treatment. She felt much better under the influence of Aconite during the almost two months she took aconite. What strategy to follow? Keep on aconite. and on LM. Give to her in a high potency or try out a more prominent remedy.

I infer that the pt. has some cardiac manifestations, and that some of her
clinical symptoms are left sided. Aconite is left sided, and does offer
some cardiac response. Other remedies for your thinking may be aurum,
conv., glonoin. Some benefits have been found with the use of Blatta in low
potency, and Quebraco in high potency. Arnica offers benefit as well to the
tissue which suffers an inflamatory reponse.

Dear Filipe,

I don't see much Aconitum in your case.
Your description misses a little 'character'/dept/contrast.
Difficult to 'get the picture'
I've tried to repertorise (see rubrics below) your case and the remedies on
which you might check for confirmation, according this rep, are:
Puls, Nat c, arist-cl, hyos, Bell
Hope it helps.

Jan
PS: I have in my repertorisation put a big (causational) emphasis on the
abandonment by her father (translated in 'forsaken feeling) and have
translated the 'likes to talk' by desire for company, because 'likes to
talk' is far from 'talks all the time' which would have directed me into an
other rem of course. The 'fear with tears' is translated by 'fear, weeping
amel.' I don't know that really fits.
MIND - ANGUISH - weeping, with
MIND - ANGUISH
MIND - FEAR - weeping amel.
MIND - FEAR - alone, of being
MIND - COMPANY - desire for
MIND - OCCUPATION - amel.
MIND - MENTAL EXERTION - desire for
MIND - FORSAKEN feeling
GENERALS - FOOD and DRINKS - fat - aversion
GENERALS - FOOD and DRINKS - rich food - aversion
RESPIRATION - ASTHMATIC - dust; from inspiration of
RESPIRATION - ASTHMATIC - smoking - agg.
RESPIRATION - ASTHMATIC - night - midnight - after (with all subrubrics)
GENERALS - WEATHER - cold weather - dry - agg.
GENERALS - WEATHER - wet weather - agg.
GENERALS - WEATHER - change of weather - agg.
