NOTES on IGNIS from a lecture by Nuala Eising

Fire
can be used after injury from fire, if the burned person has had alot of
operations, the disfigurement from fire won’t clear but will help them
with the mental aspects related to the fire. If they take the remedy
immediately after “the fire” it’s chances of helping (avoid
disfigurement) is greatest. Case: a woman knew Nuala was proving fire.
She had had a petrol can blow up in her face. In the hospital
immediately afterwards. She got out after 10 days and then contacted
Nuala and got Fire 30c, within minutes of taking it, her face flared up
with intense pain, really red too, then it cleared. Ten
addtional days later there were no more marks. First aid remedy for
burns (sunburn, any burn). During the proving, someone burned hand and
took it; two hours later the burned area was gone.

Mental aspects, as in Fire, are aggressive.
Nuala found a book after the proving was done, A book on Hinduism and
it’s origins. Like the proving of fire, This was started by early
Aryans, 1700 B.D., from Europe, these blond haired individuals from
Central Europe believed in conquest and domination. Various gods, Fire
and Conquest and domination (agne and Indra). The early Aryan writing
talks about Indian and the snubosed, worthless dark skinned people
there. There is not an emphasis on the after life. The effort of life
was to have purpose and to achieve purpose. Even if you did great
things, if great things were done
by someone else, it wasn’t yours and it was worthless.

The Caste system: Purity vs. contamination (created class of
untouchables). There was still obsession about color of skin (dark skin
was worthless). In Fire, the provers got into definite deliniation of
Good and Evil, there were no shades of gray, it was Right and Wrong.
There was a great striving for light and shining the light,
discrimination, desire to avoid people that were unpure. There were
issues about being corrupted by contaminated people, and avoiding
anything that can contaminate. There was an obssession about perfectly
clean and aesthetically pleasing (environments).
People took out loans to fix up their house. They had to do it NOW!
Procrastation didn’t exist. There was a claustrophobic element. Fire
can’t be stifled (conquest and domination may come from this). People
had to keep moving and eating up space (as a fire does). Can’t exist if
stifled. A nation of people can get contaminated by other people,
unclean, untogether lazy people will run off on you, so stay clear of
them. One prover saw a pub as a den of iniquity and had to get out
before she became contaminated. (? Danger variation?)

There wasn’t compassion in this remedy. Doing, the straight road, fire,
conquest and domination, anger and
irribility with anyone getting in your way. Example of grabbing
something out of another’s hand if they couldn’t do something well
enough and/or fast enough Food: if they got hungry , low blood sugar was
an issue, with hunger. If had a full meal would also get weak. So
provers would eat smaller amounts in increased frequency. Think of
fire, too much fuel and it goes out, too little fuel and it goes out.
There was a craving for bananas.

Another theme, would like again to be a virgin, or to be a saint or
would identify with a saint would in fact change the details of a
saint’s life to fit aspects of the “fire” state. Gave an example.

Death before dishonor was a theme, and was stated.

When woke in the morning, came from a dark place and was born into new
light; being born again.

Activity can reactivate energy for provers.

The provers did not want to talk about feelings. If something was
coming up for prover the important thing was for it to come up. Didn’t
need counseling, just needed to get on with one’s life. Exacting and
perfectionistic like Nux vomica.
During this proving there was a need for cleaning. Needed a clean
container for spirit; a candle in the wind, there was a delicacy about
spirit which can be snuffed out at anytime. There was a fragility,
could be dead tomorrow and wanted to be a good memory. Afterwards,
people felt very unprotected. Amber was the femine principle remedy
Fire the male principle. Nuala gave the example of when she was a child,
all the kids in her family
were girls. Her father would have liked a son, so she had become a
tomboy. Never learned how to protect the feminine principle in herself.
Proving fire allowed her to let her female side out. Before she didn’t
know how to protect herself (as a female). She was naive in many ways,
tending to trust people. She lacked cuning and the ablity to see
something coming (as in the fox). During this proving a situation came
up where she was internally changed and able to protect herself and
externally, she hired a solicitor to protect herself.

In the proving, many fire alarms would go off. Also, one fellow who
didn’t rearrange and redecorate his house, actually had it burn down.

This remedy was proved in 1994. She gave lectures about it in 1995 and
gave a detailed description of presenting this remedy and a very “firey”
man came up, took the stage and started slandering her, that’s when she
protected herself (internally) and externally got the solicitor.
