Dear Memebers
what is the proper rubric?
I have a patient with this problem.
She always thinks about past trifle events that which one has happend first or secoundand etc.
For example after coming back home she dwells on, in which side of street she was walking or after sweeping the house ,from which side she started cleaning, left or right,or after taking bath, she washed first face or body and so on.
Kind Regards,
Nader

Re: what is the proper Rubric?
Hi Nader,
There are some rubrics
Mind - Trifles seem important
Mind - Conscientious about trifles
Mind - Brooding about trifles
Mind - cares, full of -trifles about
When studying MM after you've finished repertorizing, it could be good to
keep in mind the fact that the sorts of "trifles" you've mentioned are
dichotomies (1st or 2nd; left or right, etc.) and are common among people
with various forms of mental obsessiveness.
Beyond notice of the simple fact of the 'symptom' ..
Does it relate to other symptoms or a pattern of symptoms -for instance-
some pathologically obsessive people seem to use these 'preocupations' as
comforting ritual or as a "screen" to sheild them from feelings of panic;
fear of uncomfortable/ unknown situation - These are 'avoidance mechanisms'
.. very mechanical in nature... first OR second, left OR right, etc.
You can see that this might be quite different from a person for whom
"trifles seem important" -where the rubric might cover a situation where the
person is very highly detail oriented.

Dave Hartley

A state of indecision arises, the patient cannot make up his mind - cannot even marshal the facts which should enable him to form a judgment. He consequently loses confidence in himself and fancies that others will notice this and will mistrust him as he mistrusts himself. He dwells on one set of ideas which he cannot put aside, and every trifle increases his depression. He is easily startled by noises, and fears to be left alone because he sees ghosts or alarming objects or visions on shutting his eyes - even if awake.

Brooding, Dwells on past disagreeable occurrences, Moods changeable, Religious, Meditation, Weeping at trifles, Introspection, Conscientious about trifles
Kali-p -hering ?
Nervous affections, when occurring without reasonable causes, such as impatience, irritability, dwelling upon grievances, merriment becoming oppressive, shedding tears about trifles, making mountains out of mole hills.
Lyc-Gibson-
the Lycopodium subject tends to dwell on injuries, real or imagined, to harbor resentment and exaggerate trifles

The patient may complain of some mental dullness and a feeling of inefficiency. He feels uncertain of his abilities and doubts all of his work. This feeling causes him to dwell compulsively on small details, trying to compensate for his weakness ("Conscientious about trifles"). This conscientiousness results for some patients in a severe anxiety state. The patient is almost paralyzed by irresolution and insecurity about his perceptions or performance and may wish to give up his work altogether.

Argentum-nit (Digby)
Argentum combined with Nitricum. The nitricum component introduces the need for space and freedom, and emphasizes feelings of fear (see Nitrogens). Arg-nit has interesting delusions of being repudiated or despised by their families. This suggests that there is a feeling of not being valued which is also found in Platina. The crisis around ego or self-worth has emerged from the provings of some of the metals, notably Aurum, Platina, Palladium, Argentum Nit and Alumina (see introduction to Alumina).
IMPRESSIONABLE (photographic plate.) RESPONSIVE (see Argentum met.)
Frights or unpleasant experiences make a photographic impression on the consciousness resulting in phobic feelings. Silver is the most responsive metal, governing memory, sub-conscious conditioning and instinctual responses (see Arg Met.)
Open, friendly, exciteable, and responsive people (similar to Phos. and Lach.)
Sociable. Love cooking and entertaining. Enjoy drinking alcohol and eating.
Need for company and dislike of being alone.
Sensitive to negative (or positive) atmospheres. May walk into a room or a house and absorb an atmosphere becoming moody and affected by it without being consciously aware of it.
Moody at full moon.
Impulsive. Loss of rational control. Strange thoughts or impulses to touch things, to jump from a height, to walk fast etc.
Compulsions. Compulsive eating.
ANTICIPATORY NERVES before appointments, public appearances, or examinations.
Anxiety before appointments. Anxiety about getting to appointments on time.
Fear of being late for an appointment. Rehearse time and distance before appointments.
HURRIED for no reason. Impulsive. Impulses to leap from a height.
PANIC ATTACKS. Fearful and anxious. Fear of fainting or dying (Lac Can).
Fear in restuarants, crowds or cinemas (closed places). Must sit near the exit.
Claustrophobic - need air and light, open windows.
Fear that something will happen, of insanity, or of fainting during panic attack (Lac Can).
Fear of heights, closed places, flying by air.
=======
Superstitious. Ritualistic. May need to do things three times or touch wood etc.
=======
Indecisive. Hesitant and faltering about things (Alum.). WORRY.
Memory loss. Senile dementia.
May feel rejected and lonely. Feelings of rejection by parents (Lac Can.)

Re: what is the proper Rubric?
You might look at MIND, trifles seem important; also MIND, conscientious about trifles. Is her behavior obsessive? You also see similar behavior in elderly people who are concerned about being correct in how they recount things, yet are confused because their memory is failing.
