Urgent - Birth imminent UPDATE

She had a 9lb 2 ozs baby girl who I saw today. Mum was induced in the end,
but not with a drip as the best we could do with the remedies was to bring
on weak contractions. The birth was fairly fast and fine. However she had a
retained placenta and after 2 hours it was decided it was embedded in and
they gave her a spinal block and removed the placenta!!! My thought
naturally was to wonder if she had taken too much Caulophyllum?? She did try
a couple of doses of Pulsatilla 200 to try to shift it which is probably
what I would have given her had I been called. She took Aconite because she
was frightened when she was told that they would have to remove the
placenta. After she took Arnica 30 and also the next day. I have now put her
on Bellis P. as she says she is very sore inside and also round the pelvis
region.

The baby, I saw retching , trying to bring up mucus. The doctor knows and
says it is normal. I wouldn't be happy with the baby lying on its back but
apparently today you are forbidden to lie a baby on its front.( I'm glad no
one told my last child that as it was the only way she would lie!!) The
baby is breast feeding well.
