hot and cold

Post by Rochelle »

Is there a rubric I haven't found for a person who feels hot to the touch
but always piles the clothes on? I reckon chilly would be the symptom to
take as it is what the patient feels that is important. However when I am
feeling chilly my body feels cold to the touch and that is why I am asking!!

If the person says they feel chilly then chilly is the rubric no matter what
their skin feels like. It is what they percieve not what you perceive.

In murphy rep there is a rubric: heat, flushes of, followed by chilliness,
with: agar. apis., ars. carb v., colch., eup-per., kali bi., lach., lob,
merc., plat., sep., sulph., ter., thuj.,

Thats interesting, I have exactly the same problem! Altho i often feel cold
to touch as well.
Im afraid i cant help u with a rubric, but this may help. Does she get
goosebumps as well? Does she ever warm up & still get goosebumps? If so
does she find that dressing & undressing agg's - i think that is Merc.
Does she get itching with it, ie when undressing - there's quite a good
rubric for that.

Out of interest does she have any other problems?

Yes Shannon she has lots. This is just one of her symptoms. The chronic
abscesses in her groin mentioned in another post is another but I am more
concerned about the 2 serious suicide attempts in the last 2 months. The
girl is lucky to be alive. Reason? She doesn't feel wanted. At least she
spoke honestly to me (2 hours-Mum was in another room) which is more than
she did with a psychiatric nurses to whom she wouldn't speak at all!! And
yes we used EFT on this reason and she reckoned she felt much better. I have
prescribed constitutionally. I am not prepared to give the whole case as I
haven't typed it out yet and it will be long!!!!

Hello Rochelle, I think I might have missed some earlier posts on this but
the case was beginning to sound like China - terrible dejection to the point
of suicide, anxious and fearful, disobedient and brooding, ulcers (can be
anywhere) and it has that terrible internal chilliness/coldness but with
external heat.

If this helps?

Best wishes, Joy

Thanks Joy, I will give China a reread. It doesn't come up in her rep so far
but really I have only just started looking at her case as I only saw her
yesterday. There is sooo much background in the case to sieve through. At
least I feel I have got the girl's confidence and that is the main thing at
the moment. There are also maintaining conditions that really she can do
nothing about. Now if I could get her Mum as a patient it might help!! I
don't think you have missed any earlier posts on this case.

The problem is that there isn't really a mental and emotional picture to
this Rx!!
The girl has reacted with old symptoms returning and the abscesses are
clearing up in the axillae and coming to a head in the groin from the
constitutional remedy I gave her!! She started off euphoric and now all she
wants to do is sleep which is probably what her body needs. I hope she perks
up soon!!

I posted this on my study group but thought people here might find this interesting.

A few days before he died, the nurse attending Michael jackson said he complained a lot about one half of his body being very hot and the other being terribly cold. What a gift of a SRP if you ever came across it.

One rx in particular has this (might be others). Thought it might be a bit of useful rep and MM work for those interested - we've had a couple of good answers on the study group.

I look forward to hearing what has it! I'm not able to find anything
very close, just these:

Generalities; HEAT; SENSATION of; Left (3) : cyni-c-g., rhus-t., ulm-c.
Generalities; HEAT; SENSATION of; Parts; single (5) : apis, bor.,
laur., par., ph-ac.
Generalities; HEAT; SENSATION of; Parts; affected (1) : COLCH.
Mind; DELUSIONS, IMAGINATIONS; BODY, body parts; One half cut off (1) :
Stram.

Stram, tho, seems a possibility; maybe Hyos even more, tho it's not in
these rubrics. (A few of the remedies listed I'm not familiar with.)

The remedy I've long *thought* might apply to him, is syphilinum
(contagion, mutilation, long-thin, and etc.), and it has "linear"
divisions. ?
