Arnica - Dosing

What surprised me was the amount or reaction that this simple (but yet deep) enquiry generated.

There is a need to match the patient with the potency.

Often this is not possible because you may not have the potency you may wish. For example I do not have Arn 3c.

I think there is a general rule (based on the provings) that the higher one goes in potency the greater the effect on mental and emotional levels.

With a nasty physical injury such as this, there are mental and emotional aspects as well as the physical ones. It is rather different to banging your thumb with a hammer.

Then someone said if some practitioner over many years has made an observation ..... I must say that Hn himself was a great observer and experimenter. It would be interesting to have seen where hom had got to had he lived on. But certainly based on his work in the final stages of his life, the potency in WATER seems to be his 'perfected method'.

So when we have a situation that the pt is given 30c and it does not touch it and that is all you have, then put it a bottle and succuss it between each dose and repeat as necessary until you get a reaction.

If you gauge that you need to give 200 c, again give it water and OBSERVE to decide when it needs to be repeated.

I would not give a 1m Arnica unless the mental/emotional symptoms from the patient warranted it!

As they say, there are horses for course!

Choose the wrong horse for the wrong race and you can lose both!

I am a simpleton......... must be, because whenever I need to use
Arnica, I grab the first bottle I can put my hands on, use it and it has
ALWAYS, without a single exception, worked very well; and I happen to
have 6, 30 200, 1M and 10 M potencies lying around the house, the
cars......
So honestly, I do not see the big fuss......... if by chance one potency
does not work, gee, big deal, try another one...........
