I do water potencies all the time.
You can calm the action without antidoting the remedy by giving a lower
amount of the water.
might want to try one drop of the medicinal solution to one glass of
water, stir gently and take a drop to 1/4 of a tsp of that glass.
That should calm things.
Hopefully you got a good 'similar reaction' and you client will calm down
and get better.

Just so I read you right - you are using the same prescribed potency but
diluting in 1/4 glass of water. Correct?
Would not just giving a lower potency produce the same desired results too?

Yes, giving a lower potency would probably produce the same
results, as might giving a higher potency
depending on who you are reading. But I find using the same potency
easier, in my opinion it seems smoother, and
doesn't eliminate the remedy, just calms it a bit.
