When you trust Burnett's experience on this you're wrong. Yes it is due to wrong miasmatic treatment.
When you use Sulphur as a 'specificum' against scabies like Burnett did, you will fail.
You must individualize the anti-miasmatic remedy.
The correct remedy must represent:
1. the miasmatic totality (genus group)
2. the totality of symptoms
3. the psychic essence (state, behaviour, gestures etc.)

Robin also wrote:
"that which is from without is to be cured from without; that which is from within must not be treated from without, but from within".
In other words, kill the little 'things' then treat the constitution!"

What is the constitution here? That are characteristics of the person!
But what we must treat is the person in disease, not just the person
We must base our prescriptions on symptoms, ofcourse the constitution must not be ignored, because it is part of the whole disease, but the influence of the miasm must also not be ignored, and that is what we do when we just prescribe someone's 'constitutional remedy' and this is the reason why such a prescription fails to touch the apparent cause.
When we prescribe the simillimum for the present state, the little 'things' will dissapear.
Trust on Homoeopathy, not Burnett on this.
