Prostatic Hyperplasia (uregent please)

Post by Akhilesh Raja »

Pt aged 66 male .
Frequency urination especially at night . Poor flow(all common symptoms)
< rainy season .complain last 2-3yr's .
For this was under constitutional medicine(Lyco) last 9 month's( no
medicine last 2months) LM potency (0/1) by which other complaints
like Vitiligo ,and baldness are cured . There was only symptomatic
temporary relief for the urinary complaint .
Now on examination ultrasonography the prostrate is enlarged ,71 cc?
On protoscopy ,was painful , and was found to be firm . Urine
examination say's potassium and chloride levels are very low and is
advised to take salt and fruits . ( Actual report is not in hand as pt
is admitted for the above examination's). Blood report and serum PSA
,and urine culture report are yet to come .
Can surgery be avoided ? Are there specific's to shrink the prostate
gland ?.

Hello,
Ideally one should try to prescribe on totality of characteristic symptoms.
I have personally seen surgery being avoided in number of cases but every
time it was a remedy for the patient and not just prostate.
Information provided by you is insufficient fpr the purpose of prescribing a
remedy.
One thing I would like to mention is prostate never goes back to it's
original size as it is a part of aging process.
What is achieved is a reasonable relief in symptoms sufficient enough to
avoid surgery.
With regards,

i am impressed with the fact that his vitiligo was cured. i had a young teen ager a couple of years ago with vitiligo. he never followed through with treatment, but the research i had done at that time indicated that this was a very difficult condition to cure. can you speak a bit more about this aspect of your case?

Akhilesh,

As the vitiligo spots disappeared, did they heal from the center to the
periphery of the lesion or from the periphery to the center? From which part
of the body did they clear first? Last? Is the skin normal color where the
vitiligo was or is it darker? It seems to me that if the Lyco was indeed
correct, that after the vitiligo cured (which is a syphillitic condition)
the prostate would possibly have aggravated (a sycotic condition) but then
improved. With the remedy acting for shorter periods, I am concerned about
suppression

be well

Akhilesh, is this a case of benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), or is it cancerous or precancerous? Does he have elevated PSA? If the latter, consider using Thuja if the PSA is 4-7, Conium if it's higher than 7. These recommendations come from Dr. Ramakrishnan, who uses a split dose, semimonthly, of whichever remedy is indicated.

This Lycopodium case I believe that the hering's law was followed .

The pt's both parents and all his brother's (even his twin brother )
and sister had diabetes mellitus and are also having complications.

The vitiligo started in his left lower leg in the middle anterior aspect
of the leg almost 10-15 yrs back . It expanded from a small spot to a
large area in these yrs and also affected both the legs in the anterior
aspect ( not as a typical bilateral lesion ) .
The area to be effected first got more darker later the patch became
white . One yr back one new patch of one inch in diameter was seen in
his head with his hair became more gray and balding was also to a extend
increased i.e.,. the hair free area increased and it grew more shiny .
before the patch had appeared i had given the pt . Mother tinctures for
the complaint (of frequent urination with a poor flow especially during
the night ) without any affect . As this new patch appeared i thought of
giving him his constitution and gave him the 200th potency . which gave
him relief for 2 day as it cannot be repeated i gave sl as pt wanted
some thing . Later as a experiment i wanted to use LM's so started to
give LM 1( 0/1) . I was using LM the first time i used 1 pillule poppy
seed sized in a very small amount of sac lac. One dose every alternate
day for one month and discontinued it for more than one month and again
gave the LM1 one more month .Now he has not taken any thing for 2-3 month's
In these two month the patch on the head disappeared before
disappearing the patch became darker and then normal colored . The root
of gray hair became black and new hair started to grow from the hair
less area . Actually now he has more hair than he had 5 yr. back. But
the complaint for which i gave him medicine is still remaining .
Last week he under went a full check up , he is other wise healthy
except this complaint .

The result of the test for serum PSA is yet to come .
I welcome ur comments
