Hi Glenda,
Pins & Needles represents Neurological Decompression Sickness which would be indicative of Spinal Cord involvement during the DCS episode
IF the joint pains are bilateral then most likely this is from the above noted Spinal Cord involvement... if NOT bilateral pains then it is considered Type 1 (simple) DCS...
How many times was the patient treated via recompression chamber? if at all?
Something would be needed to stimulate nervous tissue that has been damaged in this case... Consider treating this as a "Spinal Cord Injury" in the reportization as foremost in the physical aspect...
I look forward to others feed-back with the above *new* info supplied as to suggestions on reporitization. Thank you!
More questions? Let me know... I can learn from this too as we are Professional Scuba Divers (see my website below for credentials).
Respectfully yours,

Hello,
Doing some research on after affects of the bends - decompression
sickness. Person is still experiencing affects 3 years later.
Depression/mood swings, pins and needle sensation (how to rep?) joint
pain. The full case has not been taken as this is not a client, but
research for learning at present.
Has anyone had experience in this area they could share.
Regards
Glenda Wilks

Re: [H] Bends
Hi,
Although I have no exp with cases of bends or Decompression Sickness
I feel nit-ac should be a strong contender for the reason that the diver
who doesn't observe to follow the stops while ascending tends to
accumulate high levels of nitrogen in his system and is poisoned by it.
Nit-ac is well known for stitching and stinging pains in its pathogenesis
Regarding the rubrics the following may be considered.
