Hi There,

Have a case that I'd like some help with
31 y.o. male

Main complaint:
H.O. of constant tremors since mid teens < hands++ and legs. Difficult
performing fine writing or drawing.
< hunger, after exercise, excess alcohol

Accompanied with constant internal anxiety. Nervous when waking, nervous
when going to an engagement, nervous seeing friends. Nervous at things
that should not cause concern. Feels constantly on edge

Now on anti depressants and anti anxiety tablets for last 6 weeks which
have suppressed tremors and nervousness to a degree.

Nervousness accompanied with constant SAI butterflies in stomach.
SAI mind always racing

Patient also has history of severe depression and suicidal thoughts (has
planned suicide out many times, but does not have courage to follow
through)
Constant negative thoughts - if away from home thinks friends are
pleased he is away and are sitting around talking behind his back. Will
work himself into a state over such thoughts, and then upon return will
treat people as if they are conspiring against him.

huge feelings of loneliness and would like to have people around him
constantly.

All above emotional symptoms are
me up"

great sense of failure, and will not do things that can potentially
cause him sense of failure - playing guitar, chess (though he would like
to do these) . "inherently can't be happy"
feels better when feeling needed, or when made to feel special.
Demanding of friends time

Distracts himself through work, is a high achiever, ambitious and
willing to push people aside to get ahead.

Fear of being alone, and of dying young (though this is not so pronounce
given that he reached his 30s)
Any remedy ideas? I was thinking Merc as one, Aur (but doesn't seem to
fit tremors).

Hi,
On a first look this seems to be a case of Arg-n excepting for
the modalities. Then you may also look at Med which is very
close to arg-n and Shore.J's seminar in Scotland contained
a video case that he treated with med and the patient had
the sai butterflies in stomach besides. A search in EH for
this sai gives falcon-p, hydrog, and streptococcinum.

What happened in his teen years to produce this symptom? Chilly/hot, food
pref's, etc?

Hi Russell,
I asked him this very question - he could not think of anything.
Though his depression started when he began university. He said he felt
that he was left to his own devices at university, ie getting good
grades and making new friends (no friends were made at all while at
uni). He felt terribly alone and did not enjoy uni.
I too thought of phos and ars - i will look more cloely at them.
