remedy storage

Post by Sherill »

I was thinking about using foam inserts in a plastic box to store remedies. The sort of foam you might make pillows from with slashes in it to insert bottle. Do you think this would be harmful to the remedies?

Hi Sherill,

Years ago I used bullet cases. https://www.google.com/search?q=mtm+amm ... IDK188FJ1M:

Then, I found that staying organized when I was constantly ordering new remedies was a pain. Too much energy spent reorganizing. It was better to use small boxes and stay approximately organized. That is, use plastic dividers (cut up something hard like a plastic notebook cover) with a letter of the alphabet on it. C's need to be subdivided. EFG can go together....
That makes dividing again easier. Keep the same remedy in different potencies in a plastic bag with a number on it.

I use a large index like Vermeulen's remedies for my numbers. I can send you a large index. Then, number each remedy. If you get a new remedy that is not on the list, use xxxB xxxC to subdivide. Not having to alphabetize helps me. Also, having a separate index of remedies helps. Too much record keeping is a hassel, so I keep going back to my collection to find out what potencies I have. But having an index means that I know what remedies I have without the having my pharmacy next to me. (when I am out of the office).

For F potencies, I just keep them each remedy set in plastic ziplock bags. Then, I stash those in alphabetical order.

That method is cheap. Also, for me living in Japan, organizing in a compact way is essential. Fancy boxes get bulky.

Best,

Thanks Ellen, yes, I have bullet boxes, small boxes, large boxes and an Excel spread sheet cataloging... However from various sources I have added more remedies than I can track and they are in many sizes. They are in so many places and odd boxes that I want something more uniform so was thinking of some larger boxes and want to keep them from rattling too much. Thus the foam that would accommodate different sizes.

The plastic notebook cut up is a good idea, too. Just wondering from the group if the foam idea is harmful to the remedies? Anybody know?

Your remedies are in glass bottles. If you are not burning your foam.

Of course, Styrofoam is a environmental pollutants. But I assume you’re using refused.

This isn’t a definitive answer, but — I wouldn’t think so. If the foam is used for pillows, I assume it doesn’t have any strong odor. That’s really the only thing I recall hearing or being taught can damage remedies. (And for radionically prepared ones, strong magnetic field.) I think I’ve seen commercial kits that use it—but am not certain of that.

Personally, I wouldn’t have even thought to worry about it.

Wish I had any strong assurance to give!

I would really hate to see pieces of Styrofoam floating around my room. It would be emotionally distressing.

I’m doing what you’re doing but we live in much smaller quarters. We’re moving to even smaller ones. So this is my plan:

Get boxes that are the same height as the drawers where you will keep the remedies.Drawers and shelves are both OK. Buy them at the dollar store or in bulk online. Or even use cardboard boxes if they’re available. But they have to be small. Put the bottles in Ziploc bags. You can get all kinds of different sizes to suit your needs. Then stand up the bags in the small boxes. The boxes are needed to keep bags standing. I usually stand up the bag that is next to the bag that I’m taking out. That way it’s easy to find where I should return the remedy when I put it away. They are lined up in alphabetical order. Still, less confusion is always better for me.

I usually close my bags. But it’s really not necessary if you have bottles. The idea is to keep the same remedies together regardless of potency. Because I use plastic boxes, I also close the boxes. Of course, all of these containers need to be labeled. But I wouldn’t label the boxes in too much detail. After all, they’re going to be moved around as my remedy collection changes.

I think Styrofoam would be a pain in the neck.

In Japan we have pillows stuffed with plastic beads. I guess I could use those instead of Styrofoam. At least they’re heavy enough so they wouldn’t come jumping out of the drawer where the remedies are kept.

Best,
Ellen
