Preserving Homeopathy

It has likely been mentioned here, but I feel the need to put in my two bits on it as well.
We are all aware that homeopathy is under attack throughout the world. Just over a year ago the US FDA released a proposal that would basically undermine homeopathy at its very roots in this nation. They are trying to assert it will not do this, but when their whole document is considered, it is obviously very dangerous at best.
This proposal must not be allowed through.
In the US, the leading group fighting against this is a wonderful group of what can simply be called “mad moms”, originating in Houston. They are volunteering their time and have been doing some phenomenal work, raising awareness not only in the public but also among the lawmakers in Washington, DC. I connected them with the gentleman who has become their attorney, Jim Turner. Mr. Turner’s practise is right in DC – and he has not lost a case against the FDA. The nice little “cherry on top” is he fact that his primary care provider since 1970 has been none other than a homeopath.
Through Mr. Turner, who considers himself a consumer rights attorney, they have spoken directly with the FDA. I was actually with them at their first meeting with the FDA this last March and even had the chance to speak with them myself. They are an incredible group – their website is www.HomeopathyChoice.org .
With all this in mind, please know that, the Americans for Homeopathy Choice has submitted a Citizens’ Petition to the FDA. Through this petition, they are demanding the FDA reconsider this proposal – and, because this is a Citizens’ Petition, they are required to look at and consider it.
One of the key factors to this, however, is the need for commentary on this petition – commentary outside of “just” them.
They are needing 10,000 signatures by 28 January – and they have just crossed over 7,000.

You do not need to be a US citizen to submit a comment.
I am confident we can reach 10,000 signatures on this – and even more will be better.
