Has anyone had success in treating hyperthyroidism in cats?
Our 13 yr old Calico who can be quite vocal for food has lost weight along with a canine appetite.
tks

Re: HYPERTHYROIDISM in Cats
The gold standard for treatment, while not homeopathic, is also not so Draconian as to be beyond consideration: radioactive iodine therapy to shut down the thyroid. I have seen a lot of convincing testimonials. I would like to think there would be a homeopathic alternative, but would not beat around the bush waiting for a chronic remedy to work. The cat's life is short, and the disease terribly common, and I think I would want to see comfort and happiness for as many days as possible. Certainly there are many ways in which homeopathy could help, managing sequelae if any, or just improving other conditions within our reach.
