LMs gelsemium

Post by Roger Barr »

You can use LMs in any situation. I always start with LM 1 and just adjust it as needed. Higher potency LMs can be used immediately for acute conditions, if necessary.

I generally use a Remedy Solution Bottle that is a 1 ounce (25ml) dropper bottle for the convenience of the client. David Little advises using an 8 ounce or larger bottle.

But you can adjust the number of drops (tsp. for 8 oz bottle) and/or the number of succussions and/or the frequency of dosing and/or the number of cups, depending on the client and how they respond to the initial dose. It is infinitely adjustable.

I usually start them with 3 succussions and 3 drops (easy to remember) stirred into a cup with about a 4 ounces (100ml) of water, of which they take one spoonful. Precision in the amount of water in the cup is not so important as consistency, so that they know how to adjust.

But I am planning to go 2 and 2 in the future which avoids almost any chance of aggravation.

If there is an aggravation it only lasts a couple days; then you can adjust accordingly.

For extremely sensitive clients you can have them take a spoonful from the first cup and stir it in a second cup. And you can keep going using additional cups in this way, as needed.

That is the beauty of LMs: 1) easily adjustable for the sensitivity of the client and acuteness of the situation, 2) any aggravations are short, and 3) you know very quickly (a few days or up to 1 or 2 weeks max) whether they are on the right remedy because they are so deep acting. You see an early response in their General Signs of Health with the correct remedy.

For all these reasons LMs are much better than C potencies.

I suggest people try both approaches, and judge for themselves.

Some further aspects of LMs

It is very easy to make the LM potencies. With a 3c you can create an LM1. With any LM on poppy seed pills you can make the Remedy Solution Bottle for the client and you can make the next higher LM in the series.

To make the next higher potency, you take one poppy seed LM pill and dissolve it in a drop of water and add 99 drops of alcohol (which can be pre-measured so you dont need to count), succuss it 100 times and put a couple drops of the resulting solution over the poppy seed pills in a half-dram vial. Thats it.

You take one poppy seed LM pill and place it in the bottle (1 ounce dropper, 4 ounce, 8 ounce or 12 ounce) and you have the Remedy Solution Bottle for the client.

I always give the directions to the client on how to take the LM, in person (or on skype video) the first time so that there is no possibility of mistakes which can cause aggravation.

Succuss X times (per their sensitivity)
X drops/tsps (per dropper bottle/regular bottle) into approx 4 ounce water in a cup.
Stir for 10 secs.
Take 1 tbsp of the cup directly or into the next cup for very sensitive clients.
Throw the rest of the cup away (Sometimes they mistakenly drink the whole cup)

After the client takes the first dose of a new remedy I contact them again in 3 days.
At that point I can usually determine if it is the right remedy.
Usually there is either an aggravation or an improvement of the General Signs of Health (Sleep & energy, calmness, clarity, sense of wellbeing, adaptability to their environment) which indicates they are on the right remedy.
If it is an aggravation I can adjust how they take the remedy.
If there is no detectable response I have them start taking it daily, and I wait a week or so to decide.

All of this might seem a little more work, but it is work up front that yields huge benefits as mentioned in the last post.
