Thick blood?

Post by Maria Bohle »

Can anyone give me thoughts and suggestions for thick blood ?

Pt has a hx of blood clots. Is doing well overall with homeopathy and is not on blood thinners. She has her blood checked periodically and it is 2 something. (As reported to me second hand). She is on remedies that have her functional, mobile and pretty comfortable but this blood thickness may be too dangerous to ignore. She had arnica for emergencies, but how do I repertorize or prioritize this kind of situation?

This is a long time chronic case that has been responding well. Hx of ascities in heart, pleural and chest cavity. CHF, and major respiratory problems.
Doing well, but the escaped fluids thicken the blood. Is on ant tart and Adonis both low. Doc has Rx'd blood thinners for years but she will not take them. Does not like side effects. Hydrogenoid constitution.
Am thinking of arnica low unless someone has a better idea. Do not want to see her throw clots again, has a long hx of them.

I had a high iron case that did well on Pulsatilla. But it fit the whole person. Doctors were removing blood to thin it.

This is a very old case of a person with a huge distrust of allo meds.

Irregular heartbeat that sometimes ' slows to a stop' she throws clots everywhere after it rapidly picks up.

She sees the allopath enough to maintain her services but usually takes no meds. Asthma, bronchitis, lower lungs do not inflate.

She is doing great, functional, went for her allopathic check up and blood was really thick. She is on Hawthorne tincture, remedies that are controlling her asthma, and helping to regulate that heartbeat ( no brady incidents for more than 5 months. ).
I hate to add another remedy. Will re repertorize, snake remedies (Lachesis) did come up but I have a hard time seeing snake in her, but pathology is still pathology.

I suspect the edema, that is chronic, is where the fluids are going,
Ginkgo is a thought, thanks.

Will look for a remedy to help prevent the edema and keep the fluids where they belong.

This is a funky balancing game. If I dry up the ascities don't want to increase the blood thickness.

She has Heparin Rx 'd for many years but will not take it. Does not like the feeling it gives her.
