This is a long, thoughtful piece on the Zika virus by Dr. Paul Herscu, who's been writing for years about various epidemics and their respective genus epidemicus.

Re: Herscu on Zika virus
I am sorry Dale, but this is a very disappointing article. It promotes data that is not real about flu as well as Zika. It ignores public health issues as well as the political and economic factors in promoting fearmongering about health. Herscu has done some wonderful work but on this he is off base.

Did we read the same piece, Tanya? I disagree with you. I thought the article had a useful overview of other Zika outbreaks (no microencephaly there!). Paul was very clear that correlation does not equal causation, though he thinks ultimately Zika will be found to cause neurological problems in some (e.g., Guillain-Barre).
Here's the second installment: http://paulherscuepidemics.blogspot.com ... demic.html
He makes the point that the nations that have the resources rarely concern themselves with outbreaks in nations that don't -- unless the outbreaks threaten the "have-mores".
Peace,
Dale

Re: Herscu on Zika virus
I didn't say everything he said was wrong but his whole focus seemed to be on viruses and their development. And then there was his philosophical attitude about people who like to find outside enemies to fear like wild animals and now viruses. He misses the who subject of political mass manipulation thru fear-mongering over invisible disease agents. He ignores the profit and power motives of the drug corporations.
And most importantly he supports CDC and its lies. The numbers he cites have been exposed to be fraudulent on the flu as well as the microcephaly cases.
He doesn't mention the vaccine connection at all. There is no call for alarm that pregnant women are targeted for toxic vaccination with drugs that are known to cause developmental insults. He doesn't show any recognition that there 'may' be a genocidal motive involved.
And his focus seems more to pander to the 'importance' of allopathic drugs then to promote homeopathy or other holistic means for cure which appear almost as an after thought. He seems more concerned to not offend the powers-that-be than to promote safer and healthier protocols. And he doesn't call for efforts to improve base health of people so they may resist succumbing to disease agents.
So, yes, this was a very thoughtful essay but all thinking is not valid and he really misses the boat on this one.

I haven’t read the articles yet, but — Tanya, can you cite where those numbers have been verified as fraudulent?
More after I read, this afternoon — thanks…

Re: Herscu on Zika virus
Try medical people in Brazil working in the region claimed to be the center of
the alleged epidemic.
Try the numerous attacks on the CDC data which has proven false over and over again.
