Re: A question for my fellow bookworms

Post by Dr. Joe Rozencwajg, NMD »

Hello book-lovers!

We often hear that Hahnemann called the LMs "his most perfect
technique"; in David Little's Homoeopathic Compendium, I have the
reference "his most perfected technique".
Yet I cannot find anywhere in Hahnemann's work (and maybe I missed it)
where her wrote that and what is the exact original sentence (in German
probably or in French).

Does anybody know? can anyone provide me with the exact location of that
quote and its original writing?

Thanks a lot!

Joe.

Hi Dr. Roz,

In English:

In Hahnemanns own words "I have now after eighteen months of work, finished the 6th edition of my Organon, the most nearly perfect of all."

6th edition Organon preface and footnote 132. para 246

Thanks.

I see 2 problems:

1. I cannot find those references either in the O'Reilly translation or the Boericke or Dudgeon ones....could you scan the cover of your book and the pages for me, if it is not too much to ask?

2. That sentence relates to the Organon 6, but not specifically to LMs, which is what has been repeated for years. Any writer who publishes a further edition of his work, an update or upgrade will say it is now "perfected", otherwise why would we bother to do it?

Anyone else, please?
Joe.
