Hi All,

The message below is from Stephen Gordon (ECCH) and it refers to a very
important EU campaign which is trying to prevent the overuse of antibiotics
in production animals. Please do take a minute to sign the petition, then
forward the message to as many other people as possible.

Thanks.

Dear Colleagues

In the run-up to EU Antibiotics Awareness Day on 18 November and WHO's
World Antibiotics Awareness Week 16-22 November the organisation Compassion
in World Farming has started a campaign to end the misuse of antibiotics in
farming.

The European Parliament's Committee on the Environment, Public Health and
Food Safety [ENVI Committee] will shortly vote on the proposed new EU
Regulation on veterinary medicinal products. MEPs on this committee can help
to end the misuse of antibiotics, break the factory farm system and protect
animals, antibiotics and human health.

On the following page you can support this campaign [please copy and paste
the following link into your browser address bar]
http://action.ciwf.org.uk/ea-action/act ... arded=true

Please disseminate this message to your members and urge them to sign the
petition and pass it on. There is already legislation in place recommending
the use of homeopathic medicines in organic farming.
Stopping the use of antibiotics across the whole of farming means more
opportunity for us to argue for the use of homeopathic medicines in the
whole of the animal food industry - and thereby of course in humans.

Best wishes
Stephen
