Re: Water -- more states than liquid, solid, vapour...
I have 3 seriously, heavy duty, ring magnets on the transparent line coming out of my water filter. The water that flows out of the filter in the plastic line goes through the inner opening in the ring magnets. Each magnet is separated by plastic rings so that they do not touch. Putting the magnets south to south and north to north, like many experimenters suggest, simply isn't an option because the magnets are so freaking strong. Even with the plastic rings to keep them separated, when two snapped together on my finger once, it almost drew blood. I am sure that I would have bleed if there were no plastic separators.
(If you do want to use magnets for structuring your water, do NOT underestimate the warnings that the manufacturers display about the power of these magnets.)
When the water is shut off, there is still some pressure in the filter, and the water "wants" to continue to come out. What is really interesting is that the bubbles that form during this process will snap-stop at the point in the line where the magnets are. This is even better than "the magnets make the water taste better" and subjective observations like that. I can SEE the bubbles snap into place at the exact point where the magnets are. As the pressure builds up a little, the water will flow again, and again the bubbles will snap-stop at exactly where the magnets are. This is very objective observations, not "it makes me feel better". Understand that I have no problem with "it makes me feel better", except that I have more certainty when I see those bubbles snap-stop in the line at the point of the magnets.
So, should anyone tell you that there is no such thing as structured water, you can say that Roger says otherwise, and you can do objectively oriented experiments for yourself in your own kitchen.
