We are still experiencing late winter type weather in Colorado.... but low and behold, popping out of the ground were some shoots of Japanese Knotwood! I could identify it positively because I've been digging around on foraging sites and looking at so many pictures. I was so surprised. I can't eat them though because they were popping up at the edge of my dogs' favorite place to pee.
I pulled up 4 of them. but didn't get roots. I just brought them home and stuck them in some good organic dirt and put them deep into the soil. Yesterday they looked droopy. I added more water. This morning they looked perky. Do you think that will work? Can I leave them in the house, or will they bother my BIG plants? I can't let that happen.

The roots are deeper.
Sounds like it is already working.
I was going to suggest a remedy for the traumatic transplant but it does not look needed.
Are you expecting them to escape their pots in the night and go on the attack?
