In Defense of Homeopathy: Education

Post by Ellen Madono »

Hi All,

Educational efforts to teach effective professional and household homeopathy are the foundation of resistance to state control of homeopathy.

Will Taylor keeps repeating in his Anatomy and Physiology class, "the body is not a hierarchical structure. Control is distributed throughout the system." The system is complex, and therefore, to a limited extent, knowable. It is not just complicated and therefore the opposite of simple.

This is true for the polity as well. We distribute control through knowledge and effective practice of homeopathy. Each of us as teachers, practitioners, activists, consumers are promoters of homeopathy. Control is distributed throughout the complex polity. Control is in our hands.
Somewhere on the Internet I saw a map of homeopaths in England. Really dense. For a while we were hearing nothing but homeopathy bashing from that island. Still homeopathy is surviving because of the many practitioners IMO. I wonder if Germany is not even better defended by the homeopathy. ( It seems German doctors are into it with even remedy inoculations. Everyone wants a fit with their paradigm. ) Anyway, you can't kill a medical method that too many people use and believe in. Not with an Internet. As the Internet closes down, we will see a real loss of control.

My education is mostly over the Internet. I am deeply indebted to people like Will Taylor, Joe Kellerstein, Paul and Amy Herscu, Aradavan Shahrdar, Grant Bentely, Maria Bohel, Sherri Nakken, Irene de Villier, Dr. Roz., and Kim Elias all in different ways. These are the teachers who I have been studying with formally or informally on the Internet.
Most recently, watching Will Taylor I can see the trajectory of the development of his Internet presentation skill. Distance education is a learned art. Putting good information out there on the net is essential to defend our art. These teachers may not agree among themselves, but to me, their differences bring out the nuances. I am grateful for the individuality that Homeopathy affords.

Best,

Ellen Madono
