Ha anyone come across the symptom - must be naked to pass stool?

This is the second time I have heard that symptom. The first time I was told it was from a sensation of feeling heated. This latest client is unable to articulate an explaination and must perch on the toilet to pass stool.
Don't know if the symptom is important but any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Yes, an ADD child who was undressing naked before going to the toilet; he claimed he did that in order not to soil his clothes.

Yes, I've had a number of ASD children doing this - and they won't tell why and the parents can't work it out.

Sometimes the answers they do give appear to be throw-away answers just to satisfy the person asking the question - as if they don't know why either.

One of my respondents was old enough and able to articulate a probable reason feeling heated. Also old enough and alert and orientated enough not to soil her clothes.
The latest patient is autistic and cannot speak. Very clean, presentable and pleasant. Did meet my eyes but unable to get any answers out.

Odd symptom

Post by Roger B »

My wife and her mother have the "symptom" of tearing when they poop. "Tearing" as in tears running down their cheeks, as in crying.

Hi Maria,

"Perching"/squatting (not sitting) is the natural position for passing stool.

Is the clothing restrictive in this position?

Atb,

Leilanae
