cananyonehelp

Post by Robin Webster »

I have a problem with menstration. I menstrate/spot constantly. So, I am trying Chastberry and it's working, but it's giving me bladder problems, I urinate frequently and with difficulty. Can somebody help me with this frustrating problem? I can't afford to see a homeopathic doctor and I can't take birthcontrol pills.

Robin,

Try your local Library, and check out a book called Screaming to be Heard: Hormonal Connections Women Make, and Doctors Ignore, by Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet.
You can look at two sites for more information: http://www.herplace.com and http://www.powersurge.com for more information on Dr. Vliet's work.

She has some very interesting thoughts on hormonal issues, and definate ideas on brands of hormones that are more similar to one's body's own, than the usual Premarin.

Hope this is helpful.

Sounds like you can't afford *not* to see a homeopath!
Constant spot &/or flow is more than an inconvenience - it is your body
telling you something is definitely going wrong- hopefully you'll be able
to attend to it .. often small troubles lead to big troubles if not properly
attended to (which does NOT imho include taking drugs or herbs which have
"side effects" more grave than the original condition!)

Suggest you contact someone near you.
-and discuss your limited ability to pay with them.
Most homeopaths I know are willing to be somewhat flexible on fees.
I have worked with a client for less than 10% of my suggested fee when the
client was truly in need of help, and truly unable to pay.

There's a referral list here (for U.S. & Canada)
http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/STEVELIST.htm

U.K. & worldwide info here
http://www.homeopathyhome.com/directory/index.shtml
Please ask again on this list if you can't find anyone.

While no doubt there is some value in an MD's thoughts on hormone treatment
that may differ from "the usual" -

In terms of Homeopathy (the topic of this email list) there are PAGES and
pages of references to menstrual abnormalities in any homeopathic repertory.

What "doctors ignore" (to borrow a phrase from Dr. Vliet) is that
suppressing symptoms leads almost invariably to a long term decrease in
overal health/vitality.

Even though Dr. Vliet has some very good observations on women's health
problems not properly addressed by the "modern" biochemical model of
pharmaceutical medicine- she is still working from within that model- a
model which, according to our thought as homeopaths - leads generally to
MORE rather than less disease, unease, illness - over time..

Homeopathy in proper practice will address any of the HUNDREDS of
minutely-defined menstrual disorders or irregularities that can be found in
our literature, and will do so in such a fashion as to evoke healthy
homeostatic healing response in the individual - AS OPPOSED to attemping to
monkey-wrench biochemistry -which the "modern" medical model PRETENDS to
understand, while obviously NOT understanding - one has only to consider:
this "modern" .. "medical" paradigm is the 3rd leading direct cause of death
(not even counting those who lay dead or chronically ill and are unreported
or unrecognized victims) in the U.S. and Canada - ahead of automobile
accidents and shooting deaths combined.

"Modern" pharmaceutical medicine is a loaded gun pointed at the head of the
world's population.

Homeopathy treats what pharmaceutical medicine ignores and/or CREATES.
I have had people come to see me who are taking 10 and even 20
pharmaceutical medicines prescribed by so-called "doctors" with medical
degrees and state credentials - people whose entire severe and chronic
illness.. may likely be CAUSED by the medications (according to the official
documentation which the "doctors" are liable for consulting.) -one recent
case was that of a gentleman who never recovered from what was apparently an
uneccessary heart bypass operation. All of his symptoms appeared to be
directly caused by "modern medicine."
Traces of pharmaceutical medications can now be found in the world's OCEANS.

Enough!

sincerely,

Actually, the results of a groundbreaking study was
presented in July 2001,at a medical conference in
Australia, I believe. I saved the article to present
to my classes when we cover reproduction. In this
study, it was found that androgens (classically
thought as "male" hormones, although women have them
too) are the precursors of estrogens and that many of
the difficulties experienced duing menopause are
really due to androgen imbalance! If this is so, then
it would really turn HRT on its ear!

I am perimenopausal myself and there is no way I would
ever take Premarin. I am counting on homeopathy to see
me through!
