Ayurveda, was Astrology and Jung

Post by Roger B »

And this will be my segway to mention an idea that I have had recently. Ayurveda sees symptoms as being parts of 3 different clusters: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. You need to read about this elsewhere since I am running out of time here in the real world with my chores and errands that I have to do.

My idea is that these clusters: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, themselves constitute symptoms, constitutional symptoms, which could be used for homeopathic remediation. Of course, vata, pitta, and kapha will not be found in any homeopathic compendium, yet.

Example: being an oldster, I am very sensitive to eating vata foods. They constipate me. I have to go light on the leafy greens, which I do. ("Light" does not mean zero; it means just a little.) I can't possibly juice leafy greens. I would pay dearly for that. Any leafy greens will to the anti-trick.

Recently John Benneth prescribed Chocolate 200C for me, and he and I are still waiting for the effect, and I will be getting back to him about it today. But I thought that perhaps I could take a bunch of vata derived remedies, like spinach and kale (if there is even such remedies). I am thinking that this would nudge my constitution back to where I could eat leafy greens and other vata foods and not pay dearly for doing so.

Actually it is both:-)
You can not claim the moon as significant now and then say it is not significant at the time of birth for example:-)
And if the moon matters, why not other 'hevenly" bodies- the sun for example?
We have rubrics for sun as well, and astrology uses sun positions - both are associated with how it is for an individual.
It is not so far apart:)

What I will say is that I have not been able to correlate astrological category with innate constitutional type.
(But you CAN correlate genetic type with homeopathic constitutional type.)
There are many ways to group idividuals, and each has some kind of validity which is useful.
Namaste,
Irene
