Has anyone had experience with treating this condition? It's generally
assumed to be a genetic disorder, and thus conventional medicine offers
no resolution - fancy that...

I have met a woman who has this, with symptom onset delayed until
adulthood. It's pitiful and horrid. Thanks for any insight; I've read
the medical background, but would love to find more hope.
