Radiation treatment

Hi, all: My girlfriend has been "diagnosed" with a small squamous cell
carcinoma near her left eye, and they want to perform a series of
localized radiation treatments. She gets it about where the true source
of the manifestation lies, but not enough to forgo the treatment. I am
advising nutritional support, but could use some ideas about remedies to
protect and support the body in dealing with the radiation. Healing, I
suppose, will be straightforward and supportable with Hypericum - but
what else?

I would not called it nutritional support; I would call it nutritional correction.

First off - DON'T PANIC! Cancer isn't really all that bad. It is curable if one understands what causes it and what is required to put it back into dormancy. It can be done and many have successfully done it. Conventional treatments offered by allopathy DO NOT WORK! Cancer is Nature's external metabolism. It is the mechanism She employs to return spent organic matter back into the soil from which it originated according to biblical thinking. The true cause was elucidated in the 1920s and resulted in the awarding of the Nobel Prize to Dr. Otto Warburg. Cancer isn't a secret and the cause is well-known. Cancer is a systemic condition meaning that the entire body is involved. Tumor formation occurs in distressed areas and form as a protective mechanism to prevent the spread of necrotic tissue. The trigger is a diminishment of cellular oxygen. The mitochondria within the cells are its power plants. The fuel produced is known as ATP. Normal cellular oxygen respiration utilizes special fats and a large amount of oxygen resulting in an effluent of carbon dioxide, some lactic acid, water and a few minor other substances. When the cell suffers from a diminished amount of oxygen it will shift its respiration to an anaerobic mechanism which consumes less oxygen and a lot of sugar. The ATP produced by this process is inferior and the rate of respiration greatly increases to prevent total suffocation and cellular death. The answer is to eliminate the sugars which can be done by feeding the body only ketones which come primarily from animal protein. The Atkins Diet ran along these lines. To get extra oxygen directly into the eye a mixture of distilled water with 6% DMSO drops will greatly increase the oxygen availability with a minimum amount of discomfort. The solution stings very slightly but is well-tolerated. Next purchase Dr. Brian Peskin's book "Cancer The Hidden Story of Cancer" It's a download and isn't available in print. The answer is to eliminate the sugars which can be done by feeding the body only ketones which come primarily from animal protein. The Atkins Diet ran along these lines.

Ketones don't come from only eating animal protein, they are produced by the body burning fat in the absence of carbs once glycogen is depleted in the liver.
Fastest way to ketosis is a fat fast, eat mostly fat, less protein, no carbs.
High protein w/o fats inhibits ketosis.
Atkins brand foods are high fat, moderate protein
Heavy cream, bacon, pork, fatty meats, cheese work best
Flaxseed oil, macadamia nuts, coconut are non animal sources

You can not feed the body ketones. Ketones are not in food.

They are made in the liver, from fat, when there is not enough blood glucose to use for energy.
It is an alternatie way to make energy when glucose for energy is unavailable or in short supply - either due to fasting or due to low carb diet.

I stand corrected. Yes, ketones are the result of the breakdown of fats and is not a substance in foods but a byproduct of fat metabolism. The brain runs on sugar but will also function on ketones. By eliminating carbohydrates, sugars and starches, the cancer is starved into extinction while the brain continues to function with the alternate fuel. Long term cancer remission can only occur with the blood pH is brought back to stasis which averages around 7.35. Although the blood pH range is tightly regulated, it does deviate and if the pH remains above around 7.48 or above for any length of time, cancer can thrive. Caveat Emptor! Carmi Hazen

There are ketones in raspberries and in the USA the extract is sold in weight loss areas of drug, food, health stores and added to other weight loss supplements like green coffee and green tea extract EGCG. Illegal in UK. Probably not enough research if any use for cancer patients.

There is an extremely small amount of keone in raspberries and some other berries, as phenolic compounds to impart a fruity smell. They have nothing to do with the three ketones the liver producesa for ketone body metabolism, and which is used as energy.

Ketones are just a category of chemicals, like acids are a cartegory and alcohols are a catwgory.
Each memeebr of the catw-egory has soe structural commonality with other memebrs of the category.
That does not make them functionally the same.

For example in the acid category:
There is
oxalic acid...which is toxic
ascorbic acid....which is a nutrient
hydrochlroic acid ....which breaks down meat in the stomach
sulphuric acid....not nice to get on you at all
hydrofluoric acid...which dissolves glass and makes holes in people.

Likewise different ketones should not be confused with each other.
The three that the liver can MAKE from fat to be used as energy are specific items.
Raspberry ketone is not one, and cannot be used for energy. Instead it is shown in rats at very very high dose only, (almost 5000 times the usual supplement dose) to break down or prevent the making of some fat cells in rats. It is untested in humans, and has no effect in rats at low dose.
NO research in humans at all.
and it costs too much to extract enough to be useful anyway - even of we assume that humans are like rats.

I can imagine that when corporate America discovers that water is very beneficial to our health that some goof will try to package it in capsules and sell it to us. It will of course be "pure" water, so some other goof will buy it.
