Perhaps most of you have already heard of the following, but I haven't until today, so I thought that I would bring it up and see what you-all have to say. I am usually the smartest person in the room, but not here.
I watched a David Pogue Nature show on NetFlix from 2013, and he had a short segment about a type of "vaccine" in which a DNA strand for the immunity from a person who was immune to that pathogen was introduced into the patient by way of a little patch with tiny spikes on it. The spikes were like 1/2 of a millimeter, and David didn't feel a thing. But the strand DNA gets into the patient's DNA and causes him/her to now be immune to the disease.
I forget a lot of it. But I am multivalent about it. Partly it seems even scarier than conventional vaccinations. Partly I am thinking that isn't this how we become immune in the natural way; our DNA is altered so that our bodies can fight off the germ. Partly I am reminded that if we keep our pH around 7.4, we wouldn't be getting sick in the first place. Partly I fear censure by this group for having any kind of positive feelings about the matter. (:->)
Sincerely,
Roger Bird

Re: DNA vaccines
Yes I think it is. Kinda like GMO humans with no known longterm effects - but knowing the effects of GMO food are horrible.
Absolutely not.
Natural immunity has two parts:
* We get increased TH-1 cytokines (which induce natural killer cells etc against invaders) based in the thymus activity area (the thymus being what vaccines and harsh drugs destroy)
* We get some (not an overload like vaccies do) backup antibodies with memory aspects that rememebr how to make more if needed.
Remember thymus action is the FIRST line of defense against any illness and the only part that prevents chronic disease. When it is destroyed we get what we see in the "modern" world - LOTS of chronic disease as people age.
The natural response to a disease is VERY different from what vaccines do.
No. Only our epigenes are altered by anything external.
Epigenes are not genes, they are illness/healthiness switches, that switch other genes on or off.
Epigenes can be altered favourably by homeopathy, food, and some other specifics.
They can be alteered towards disease, by drugs, external stresses like famine and other things - maybe DNA vaccines?
That theory does not hold water (or acid or alkali)
The positive is that DNA vaccines can actually get rid of some illness issues that conventional vaccines can not do.
But any time you mess with nature, you get a mess.
Why would this be different?
SO the thing is - what is the cost in longterm harm?
Namaste,
Irene
