This article basically says US filed patent rights over a specific strain of ebola and any other that is 70% similar. And it implies the only reason bringing patients with ebola to US under cdc control is so they can isolate this strain and patent it as well.
It gives possible answers to some of my questions posed earlier but reaaly appreciate the last part of the article questioning why the patent on an infectious disease. Shouldn't the goal of our country be to find the cure or prevention no matter who finds it?
I found the article very interesting and the doctor in the video portion also linked ebola to hiv as to how it attacked the body
