PAINFUL OSTEOPOROSIS
Hi list member,
My mother was diagnosed with osteoporosis.
She has a sever pain in her thigh which prevents her from walking. This is her main complaint.
She is unable and reluctant to go to an experienced homeopath in this field, so it is left for me to help her.
I never treated a person with osteoporosis, so what I know is from reading.
I started giving her Calc-p 6x and Calc-f 6x and also Sympytum 4x to be taken 3 times daily.
Will you do something different or have an additional advice here?
Also: are there certain remedies for osteoporosis that have severe pain in the bones? And especially in the thigh bone (in her case the left thigh)?
Thank you in advance!
Rafy

Re: PAINFUL OSTEOPOROSIS
Hi Rafy,
The main thing that helped my mother's similar bone pain, and which I *think* is very appropriate for most seniors, is Vitamin D. I think we used 5,000 IU daily, and that worked well for the pain. (Sunlight was unfortunately not an option, so I don't know whether that would have worked also.) I've since learned that it's more effective long-term if Vitamin D is given together with Vitamin K, which helps calcium to move into the bones, and not to build up in joints and arteries. Or so I read…
But Vitamin D alone would very likely help, and since (I read) most seniors are deficient in it, and it is so crucial for so many functions, I'd consider that more important than remedy alone.
I would be interested to hear what you find works for her.
Good luck!
Shannon

Re: PAINFUL OSTEOPOROSIS
Shannon--the vast majority of people in the US are significantly deficient in Vit D.
The admonition to keep out the is a major problem. Further, sun blocker I read only
blocks the helpful rays and lets the carcinogenic ones thru. Is this disease making in
the works by the people who bring you poisons daily>
The combo is Vit D3, vit K2, magnesium and calcium for dealing with keeping calc in
the bones. Of course, adequate diet will go a long way to providing this combo.
Unfortunately there are very few foods with Vit K2. I think gouda and brie cheese are
2 of them. Mercola writes about this so you can go into in his files for articles.
It is true that too much calcium w/o Vit D3 and K2 can let the calcium deposit in other
body parts and cause calcification or stones where flow and movement need to occur.

Hi Rafy
Dr Ramakrishnan recommends Aurum 6 for bone pain in cancer . I am just trying it with a patient who has bone pain from chemo drugs she has to take for a blood complaint (not cancer) . You could look at that,
Keep safe and go to the Mamad when you have to not ignore!!

If I remember every 10 mins. I don’t think it matters if WP or not. I think 10 doses. Best to put in water bottle and take a sip for a dose.

Re: PAINFUL OSTEOPOROSIS
Hi Tanya,
Yep, IMO the best sunblock is a tree.
And other trace minerals; there are now a number of ver interesting supplements on the market. Strontium (not the radioactive isotope of it!) gets good clinical results, also boron, but also others…
Fermented foods! I think all fermented foods, and made by some of the bacteria, but I'm not certain. But what I am doing now for my father, is simply buying a K-2 supplement. MK-7 version, e.g. from Life Extension, but there are various ones on the market.

Re: PAINFUL OSTEOPOROSIS
I believe that eggs are loaded with vitamin K2. I often open up my raw eggs. Gently take the yokes out and put them in my kefir smoothie, and give the "whites" to my dogs. Or I just eat the whole egg, raw.
Since I eat a lot of kefir smoothies, and see no reason why I should supplement with calcium. I think that WAY too many people supplement WAY too much with calcium. I do have to supplement with magnesium in order to keep the inflammation down.

Dear Rafy
Make sure she is not taking any ASPARTAME in her food and drinks.
Treat the patient and not the disease name!

Going a bit further on this aspect is the best time to get The health benefits of the sun is exactly when THEY say to stay inside. When the sun is directly overhead you get the most healthy rays. The bad rays stay constant thru out the day so early morning and late you are mostly getting the damaging rays
