Listen up, this is very good stuff.

Imagine if you will that you are at a shooting contest. And the contestants are supposed to hit a target, a bullseye, with an audience, you and me, behind the shooters. If the contestant misses, we say that they missed the mark. With regard to cholesterol and fats, the doctor contestants didn't just miss the mark, they turned around and shot the audience. Cholesterol is good for you; it does many important functions in the body, including being the basis of hormones and patching nicks in arterial walls. LDL means Low Density Lipoprotein. It carries cholesterol to the cells. Trying to lower it is like trying to stop a fire by shooting the firemen on their way to a fire. HDL means High Density Lipoprotein. Cholesterol is a very expensive molecule for the body to make. If you can supplement it, then the body doesn't have to work so hard to create it. This is a time honor principle. Just because the body can make something does not mean that we should burden the body TO make that something. You can get cholesterol best from eggs, egg yolks, fish eggs, grass-fed meats, dairy products, etc.

As far as shooting the audience with regard to fats, the story is not quite so horrendous. The lamestream and the health renegades agree that mono-unsaturated fats are good. But the lamestream has demonized saturated fats, even though the scientific evidence is clear that saturated fats are not demonic and are not harmful. My disposition has improved dramatically since I went low-carb and got serious about eating plenty of fats and cholesterol. And I have more energy and I assume that I will be losing weight, although that will take time to manifest.

Now, if cholesterol is good, what causes heart attacks? Well, what a surprise it is that nutritional deficiencies cause heart attacks, primarily Vitamin C deficiency. It is well known that scurvy is caused by Vitamin C deficiency, but what is scurvy but the breaking apart of the veins and arteries in the gums. And what is heart disease but the arteries of the heart getting nicks and building up scar tissue until something really bad happens. For the health of the body as a whole, getting a heart attack is better than the nicks getting bigger and bigger until the artery just splits. People survive heart attacks. NO one survives having the artery split and blood spilling into the thoracic cavity. So, because of nutritional deficiencies, the body gets nicks on the arterial wall. The body in it's sublime evolutionary wisdom sends cholesterol to those nicks to keep the person by DYING. If the person eventually gets sufficient Vitamin C and other nutrients, then the nicks get healed and all is well. But if this dangerous trend continues, then eventually a heart attack happens.

How do we know how much Vitamin C to take? Easy. Most animals make their own Vitamin C, and we have been able to measure how much they make. If we compensate for body weight, then the average sized human being should take 5.6 grams of Vitamin C. But absorbing is different from and less than making, so it is probably wise to take much more than that, spread out through out the day, with meals. Gorillas eat about 8 grams. Linus Pauling took 17 grams per day. If you take a lot all at once, then you will pee a lot out and won't have so much later in the day.

I have also found that so-called massive doses (really healthy doses) of Vitamin C are very anti-inflammatory.

Now comes what I am really excited about. We eat wrong. We go for the nice muscle meats and ignore the gristle, joins, bones, etc. Because of this, we miss out on the important amino acids in collagen: proline, hydroxyproline, glysine, and lysine. Yes, get those amino acids from other sources, but only in maintenance amounts. If you want to heal, you need to chew on those joins parts in meat, make bone broth, or else eat gelatin. Gelatin is the key. It is mainly made up of those amino acids, and it does so much. Psyllium is to veganism as gelatin is to meat-eating. Only psyllium has no nutrients whatsoever, and gelatin is loaded with nutrients.

This could be one of my longest emails, but only because I am excited about my discovery from this book of the importance of Vitamin C and gelatin.

Natural remedies have almost entirely good side-effects. Pharmaceutical remedies have almost entirely negative side-effects.
