Re: need ideas please

Post by Rachel »

Dear colleagues: i had a friend approach me with a question. i have no ideas for her. i was hoping some of you might. she is a homeopath who travels yearly to Haiti to do a free clinic there. here's her question:
"We are in the swings of organising the next Haiti clinic, and I have a question. We see a lot of women who are so malnourished that they are weak and anemic, and because of that once their period starts, it just keeps on going and going and does not stop. This is called "passive bleeding" or "passive hemorrhaging". I know this is very well remedied by cinnamon powder. It would be cheaper for the clinic if we could use a homeopathic polychrest, as we see hundreds of women like that. We are well stocked for homeopathics thanks to a sponsorship from Hahnemann Labs in CA (excellent, hand-made quality!). Does any remedy come to mind? I am not coming up with anything (we already single out the classical "washerwomen with uterine trouble from feet in cold water", a scenario that still exists in Haiti. I'm thinking you might be able to run it through you famous program. These women are pale, weak, low blood pressure, and have rubbery nails from malnutrition and excessive blood loss."
I was (and am) flummoxed and so i asked her if she had rubrics in mind, and she replied with the following:
"menstruation excessive from weakness / malnutrition / anemia / uterine debility (which is from lack of nutrition)
anemia
malnutrition
nails, soft
pallor
spotting between periods / throughout"

i can repertorize till the cows come home but i have never encountered a situation like this. i think of nutrition and herbals, both of which are hard to come by in Haiti. anyway, your thoughts and ideas would be very appreciated. i will pass them all on to her.

best,
Rachel Chaput

Hi Rachel,
As a NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENT;
Cell salts, either single or a combination of all 12 called Bioplasma.

Have a good look at Folliculinum, maybe 200C

It is used in cats, dogs etc, to switch off menses in animals not to be bred.

Hi, Rachel
Leilanae's suggestion of Bioplasma is excellent. If one repertorizes, based on the symptoms you gave, the leading remedies are Phosphorus, China, Nux-v., Ferrum, Sulphur, etc. Of course, Cinnamomum can be used, too.
Another suggestion is to look in some of the old homeopathic texts regarding the treatment of metrorrhagia, anemia, and general debility from malnutrition. Jahr, Lilienthal, Clarke, et al., have information on this (unfortunately a lot of it probably incapable of being implemented in Haiti). Which raises, for me at least, the question of how much good can a remedy do if the terrain on which it is supposed to work is not properly supported and nourished? The vital force can't really extend itself if it's not being refueled.
Peace,
Dale

How is it possible to cure a patient if the cause of trouble is there? (Reactive Chronic diseases due to maintaining causes) First is to remove the cause and then begin with treatment, Hahnemann says.

Biochamic may help

Hi Rachel,

I see good suggestions here about remedies (and I too like the idea of Bioplasma!), and share the concern about to what degree remedies could *substitute* for food; there are limits… But I do hear that sometimes the results can still be useful.

But I wonder too whether the clinic could include any food-based helps, for instance whether people keep chickens, or whether they could? Eggs are such a wonderful food, and chickens are so easy to keep. Cooking could presumably be a problem, but eggs do not need to be cooked, and do fine for weeks without refrigeration.

Pigs are another possibility, though you'd certainly need cooking facilities and all the etc. for that.

Chickens, anyone? The clinic could even give them out. (I don't know the lay of the land in Haiti, so maybe this isn't practical.)

Re chickens I just want to add -- I am thinking not of caged birds being fed on grain, but of free-ranging guys who would only need protection for the night (if Haiti has predators, then they would need that), and would eat whatever is available.

i'm guessing that feeding the chickens would be tough. there just isn't anything there but mud, and if there is, somebody eats it immediately. but, i'll forward your idea on. i'm certainly no haiti expert. thanks for your thoughts.

Hi Dale... since you're on a role and I have a very, very dear lady (my spiritual teacher of 80+ years old) who wrote to me this a.m. asking if I know what remedies to use to heal a cataract. I don't, and if I did I wouldn't offer it without someone who knows what they're doing offering advice.

She has been very, very sick..... miraculously recovered from a stroke, then the doctors gave her so many medicines that they almost killed her again. Those pills sent her to the emergency room 50 times last year! She has several doctors, but they weren't paying attention to the medicines or much of anything else. The question I have is: can a person use homeopathy remedies for constitutional and take another remedy (in this case, cell salts) for something like cataracts?

She'd be really happy if I wrote back with a remedy and instructions, but you need the whole health picture before you can say what the remedy is?. What questions could I ask without going through days and days of back and forth? I don't think she's taking remedies now, just food and fermenting + her meditation and altered consciousness for clearing up everything. A few months ago she was dying. I introduced her to a homeopath and she was doing well... then she made the mistake of going to a dental office and they almost killed her. She is still taking (I hate the stuff but I don't argue with her) for that infection. She was so close to death and the stupid dentist did a root canal of all things. If she asked me I would have told her not to do it... but she still is taking colloidal silver for that and the dental work isn't finished.

She is also now fermenting kefir, making greek yogurt, using kefir for bread... and veggies are on the way. She said that she feels 100% better now. :-) I think the cure will come now after the teeth are finished.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Vicki

I'm sorry, Vicki, but much as I'd like to help your friend, I cannot. Treatment of cataracts is not a simple matter. Some homeopaths in the 19th century used to treat them (not always successfully), but I don't know of any today who do. Surgery and implanted lenses have pretty much taken over.
I'd suggest you send her back to the homeopath to whom you referred her. She needs someone on the scene to evaluate her and provide care. The ongoing dental "care" certainly complicates matters.
Peace,
Dale
