Re: Vibrations

Actually, and I can't quite believe this, my imagination is starting to stir
from these conversations. I can't add anything to the definition of homeopathy
but it makes me think of the "five star acupuncture" or as Vitoukous once
said, the laying on of hands of a highly spiritual person as comparable to
homeopathy. Or sound therapy.

I went to a seminar on sound therapy. The woman teaching had perfect pitch
and she could actually hear sounds that came from people(she had cable ears)
and she would mimic that sound to the person and it would raise their
vibration to the next chord. I think scientology works on some principle of
raising the vibration. I had a friend whose brother was some superstar in that
movement in the seventies and my five year old son had hurt himself and was
crying and the scientology brother told my son to show him exactly how he hurt
himself. He asked him to do it around 5 times...by the end of the 5 times, my
son had stopped crying and was no longer in pain.

The brother had some list of about 10-20 different human emotions with the
lowest vibration feeling on the bottom and one of their tricks was to get the
person to the next level of feeling...as an example and not a good one cause I
can't remember....let us say you were at anxiety and the next level was anger
and the level after that was irritability. They would do things to get the
person to the next level...not skipping any of the emotions. How they did that
I cannot remember. But I tried to get a copy of that list in the nineties and
noone knew where such a list was or that there was such a list.

But all these things seem to be about changing ones vibration. Music....I
bought one of sankaran's books a long time ago and it had cassettes for
certain music to raise the vibratory level of certain types. I prefer Vivaldi
or Shubert or certain arias where certain phrases absolutely send me into a
luscious happiness. I could never listen to a whole opera...just a few phrases
here and there that "sent" me.

Are these things all connected in some way? Is it the human condition to be
open to rise above wherever we are? And is it only homeopathy that allow that
to happen in a permanent way and then only because a particular homeopath
knows what they are doing? Any perfect definition of homeopathy should include
the definition of the nearly perfect homeopath?
An aside: I first started seeing a homeopathic doctor in the late
seventies in a small clinic where there was also another homeopath. When the
day was over the two homeopaths would come together for an hour and discuss
their patients. They would both learn from each other and sometimes arrive at
a different remedy based on their conversations. It would be so cool to see
something like that in operation(without any fighting) but with explanations
of how one arrived at a particular remedy. Why doesn't and why can't that
happen on a list like this?

Hi, Carol --

It does seem likely that many such things are tied in together; and experiments by Benveniste and others have identified particular acoustic frequencies and particular UV frequencies associated with particular remedies (with variations according to potency), adding to the strength of that suggestion. Most interesting, isn't it. And that's a very interesting description of the seminar on sound therapy. I'm intrigued to know what you mean by "cable ears".

Maybe a definition of perfectly practised homoeopathy would have to take account of the homoeopath's nature as you suggest. A definition that just tells the newcomer what the hell it is, though (and whether something is or is not homoeopathy), if it doesn't confine itself to the essentials will end up excluding some actions that we'd all agree fall into the practice of homoeopathy as Hahnemann defined it.

Explanations of how we arrive at a remedy probably need an atmosphere of mutual trust -- depending partly upon a shared understanding -- that we're still trying to attain in Minutus. Perhaps this sorting out of a shared understanding of what homoeopathy is will help.

Cheers --

John

Hi Carol,

I actually use tuning forks as if they were acupuncture needles. Believe it or not, they are tuned to mathematical transformations of the speed and distance traveled by large bodies in our solar system (what John referred to above but taken to a further level via acutonics@. So they are partly understood through the mythology that you are most familiar with coming from Greece and Rome. You know these energies through astrology. Joseph Campbell has spent his life describing these energies as multicultural phenomena. Yubraj Sharma has a homeopathic materia medica describing remedies in these terms. I am not able to make these sound distinctions that you're talking about by hearing my forks, but I feel the energy in my gut. Most important the gross changes that are sought in all acupuncture treatments results from application of these forks. That is, they work in the clinic in a systematic way. Of course the energy has to be homeopathic with the patient's energy as Dr. Roz has described.

Best,

Ellen Madono
