Hi Irene,
I have just thought to ask!!! I have Euphrasia 30 pillules – are these OK or should I be putting Euphrasia tincture onto pillule and giving her those.

Re: Persian cats? FAO Irene
Just my two cents: I use 30c pellets, and dissolve them in plain sterile saline, because it is a lot more tolerable for the animals. Do you see a problem here? It surely seems to work.

Would the saline not irritate?

The idea behind using it is that it does not. Saline is an analogue of tears, and blood, too, for that matter, and is not foreign to the eye as is water, so it isn't felt at all.

Re: Persian cats? FAO Irene
It woul be okay but it is not better than plain water for a drop, and water is a lot more convenient.
The theory with saline is that tears are salty. They are not that salty, and the saltiness varies but also is not all sodium salt. I have found water works fine for my own eyes' eyedrops too.
