Reversing Hearing Loss/Going Deaf

Post by healthinfo6 »

I have a 52 year old who is deaf in one ear from illness at birth.
Now is losing hearing in good ear, MD says needs hearing aid but most likely won't go deaf.
Has become very sensitive to loud noises.
Father also had lost hearing in one ear when young from illness and lost hearing in good ear in his 60s but didn't go deaf.
He had Alzheimer's and died 2 years ago.
This sounds like an inherited predisposition requiring constitutional treatment.
Do we have any known cases of reversing hearing loss and/or preventing further loss and possible deafness?
Any remedies specific to ear, aural structure?
Thanks!
Susan
