Homosexuality & Homeopathy

Hi,

I believe this is a forum to propagate homeopathy and the topic that homosexuality is of any interest is only in so far as what homeopathy can or can't do in these cases. As homeopaths we view symptoms as just symptoms and there are no good or bad symptoms. Symptoms are our main stay and the more characteristic they are the more important. The pertinent issues to discuss are professional ( May I treat it / Can I treat it / should I treat it); ethical and moral and these got obscured what with some of the members jumping to conclusions and ascribing motives of a puritanical outlook, etc to who ever wanted a scientific discussion on this topic. The discussion turned into moral obligation of a society towards homosexuality rather than the medically relevant issues for homeopaths. As homeopaths we have nothing for or against the sexual preferences of individuals excepting in so far as such preferences matter and merit consideration while deciding the most likely remedy they may be needing at different points of time in their lives. Someone raised and rightly so, epigenetics as an important aspect to be considered and yet another one raised what havoc homeopathy could have played if two sisters happily married and settled in life were treated with homeo remedies. I appreciate such genuine concerns that we as homeopaths must discuss. This brings us to the question whether homeo remedies can have any effect at all in the specific aspect of reversing their existing sexual preferences. And if so what are the precautions that we as homeopaths should exercise while prescribing for these cases, even if they might have come for a totally different ailment not connected with homosexuality. What remedies we should avoid in such cases where reversal of their sexual preferences would result in unprecedented personal, social and economical upheaval in their lives. But Alas, a meaningful discussion of all these and more appears to be impossible on this list given the kind of responses I had to wade thro'. And I am seriously considering whether or not to continue my postings on this list.
