Protecting Rx

Post by Homeopathim »

Hi,

Does wrapping remedies with aluminium foil give the a protection against x-ray or cellular phone radiation or other kinds of radiation?

TIA

Hello Rafy,
Wrapping your remedies will only provide minor protection to low level, non-ionizing, alpha radiation.
Cell phone radiation is a radio wave with some thermal properties. Wrapping remedies seems an unnecessary step. I do though try to put some distance between my pharmacy and anf emf in my office. But I find it a bit odd that so many think cell phones are a real problem but the plethora of other sources of radio waves, microwaves, beta and gamma particles, neutrons, neutrinos and a host of non-ionizing emf radiation is not an issue.

Best regards,
Rik

Rik, did you read the study? It SHOWED that cell phones are a problem -- at least the cell phones involved in the study were, to the remedy preparation being used in the study. I heartily wish we were seeing this looked into more!

But seriously, read the study before you react. Fran's page has a link to it, but my computer isn't liking me right now so maybe someone else can give a link?

Hello Shannon,

I did read the paper. The quality of the research is not very good but that is another issue.
I did not say leave your remedies in a room full of cell phones, nor did I say for pharmacies to start operating under cell phone towers.
What I did say is that cell phone radiation should not be considered separately from the multitude of other forms or sources of radiation.
And no wrapping your rx's will not protect them if the source is close or if it's quantity and quality are high. At some distance, measured in feet, we can say that cell phone radio waves dissipate rapidly no differently than any other radio wave.

Take a trip to Bengal Allen or Homeopathy Works labs and you will see the precautions taken to deter the various forms of emf and radiation. You will not see any rx's wrapped in tin foil.

I said nothing about tinfoil... I know that copper screening is effective against EMFs (Farraday cage), so that would have been my first thought as protective, but I don't know whether it's equally protective for the cell phone wavelengths.

My reason for concern is that many of us routinely carry both remedies and a cell phone. Typically these would be tossed into the same small space -- a pocket or purse. That is a rather high degree of "proximity" I would say, and IMO extremely important to know whether it's a risk or not.

What measures do they take at Homeopathy Works and Bengal Allen?

But also i am curious what you found lacking in the research?
(Do you by any chance have a link to the article you read, if it was something other than Fran's?)
