4mth old calf

Post by Dr. R. Swift »

Carol,

Is the paralysis spastic or flaccid? The first remedies in my mind are
lathyrus and oxytropis. I would not rule out the possibility of it being
vaccination related especially if any other symtoms were present between the
vaccination and the paralysis.
be well

russsell swift, dvm

Thank you for responding so quickly. She is rigid in the back legs and has no mobility in her hips. I read lathyrus but since she can't get up I don't see the knee knock. the oxytropis has profuse flow of urine and she hasn't had anything dramatic as yet. I'll try the lathyrus first. How much do I owe you and where do I send the check?
thank you again for your time,
Carol Smith
