Rough skin

Post by Carol Orr »

I get hard rough skin on my elbows from resting them on table when I do the
computer. I have the same hard rough skin on the bottom of my feet, I go
barefoot in the house. I also have it on the tops of my toes from wearing
boots without socks in the winter. Nothing to do with my toenails. Are these
all maintaining causes that I need to adjust or would a remedy help my skin
not be so sensitive. I've been trying to become more thick skinned in my old
age regarding things that I shyed away from in my youth, I will sometime meet
head on an unjust situation. Does anyone have any bright ideas or remedies
that have such a reaction from constant rubbing against?

Hm. I don't usually answer stuff like this, but it jumped out at me. Yes, on maintaining causes. But the reason, I think, lies deeper. You are daring the world to affect you, and it does. There may be something you want to confront but have not, and are using these "contact" points to substitute for it. Or, you are being a bit of a "bad child", and bearing the consequences to show how rebellious you are. Or trying to defy the forces of nature, to show you are special. Just what I saw...

Have you checked your blood sugar? Diabetes causes dry skin
When I'm in ketosis, eating no carbs, my skin radiates from the lowered insulin levels.
Doing a brown rice, veggies, fruit, no meat/dairy detox for 5-7 days improves dry skin.
Hemp, Flax oil and a good omega 3/6/9 oil blend helps.
Are you drinking enough water?
What is your usual diet like?
