Dr. Shahrdar's 2nd free Case Analysis Lesson is posted

Post by Ellen Madono »

Greetings,

* A new free Case Analysis Lesson has been posted. (Copied below)

* The class is intended for professional homeopaths as well as students. "Case Analysis when there is a paucity of symptoms" will help you decide when you need a confirmatory method such as Dr. Shahrdar's Repertorium Virosum. Also, it will sharpen you analytical skills covering a wide variety of case analysis approaches. Dr. Shahrdar's software will be available for free soon. It is based on his classical homeopathic research into the symptoms of infectious diseases such as the ones found in the case below. The class will help you to understand his research as well.

* You must first join the website to participate in the discussion. Go to http://shahrdarcases.wikispaces.com/. Click on "Join" on the upper left bar of the window

Case 3

Dr. Ardavan Shahrdar © 2011

• The patient is a two year old child, a boy. The presenting complaints are developmental and behavioral problems since he was 6 months old. At that time, after an attack of gastroenteritis, physical growth stopped and there was no increase in head circumference. The slow increase in weight is also not age appropriate. Because of weak joints and muscles, he is unable to stand and walk.
He is an irritable child. Suffers from sleeplessness. Mother says that the child never sleeps deeply. Wakes up from slight noise. No appetite. Always suffers from constipation; stool being hard and dark green. Being warm-blooded is very prominent. Becomes irritable in warm rooms and cannot tolerate warm weather. He is always thirsty. He frequently strikes himself; on the head and belly. He uses few words to express his needs.
The mother recalls nothing peculiar from his episode of gastroenteritis. What she remembers is just 'severe diarrhea'. Lab tests have shown only positive Cytomegalovirus (CMV) DNA in PCR test of urine. PCR test for CMV in the blood is negative. Asking about the mother's history, we find out that the mother's CMV antibody just prior to this pregnancy was normal. The child has a 5 year old sister who is in normal condition. The mother recalls no specific problem during her pregnancy.

~~~~~~
Questions to be discussed:
• Of the potential approaches to analyzing this case, justify the one you chose.
• How do you interpret the positive CMV DNA PCR test of urine?
• Repertorize the case.
• What is the best remedy for this case?
