What are you referring to?
If it was Fluid in the inner ear, then the initial symptom was:

"Several weeks ago I had a sinus infection and it appeared to be gone however I travelled by plane and since then have fluid behind the inner ear. I have been very dizzy and ear and sinus pressure come and go."
Ceruminosis = Ear wax
Rather different!

I find it out of line for adults to call someone names. Kerry was wrong;
delete his posts if you don't like them. I found his information useful.

Is it any wonder that homeopathy and homeopaths are so ridiculed by the
allopathic community.

Who started it? Who is the one causing trouble?

Troll? Eh a troll you call me? You think I'm a supernatural being?

I kinda like that...even if that makes me a Scandinavian.

Thanks.

Dear Kathleen

I do not know what you understand by the word TROLL, but its definition is:

http://en.wikipedia .org/wiki/ Troll_ (Internet)

In > Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts
inflammatory, (Internet)#cite_ note-1> [2]
> extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online
community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of
provoking readers into an > emotional response
(Internet)#cite_ note-PCMAG_ def-2> [3] or of otherwise disrupting
normal on-topic discussion. (Internet)#cite_ note-IUKB_ def-3> [4]
The noun troll may refer to the provocative message itself, as in: "That was an excellent troll you
posted".

Is this not exactly what Jeff had done?

Perhaps the answer Kathleen is for yourself and Jeff to set up an "Anything
goes" list on yahoo and invite people to join you there. Those who are here
to learn about Classical Homeopathy, as taught by Hahnemann, then won't have
to waste our precious time wading through inappropriate information and
discussions. The issue is quite simple: the following is the list mission
statement:

"The aim of MINUTUS discussion group is to share useful information on
classical and Hahnemannian homeopathy."

I would also hope that as a doctor you understand how inappropriate it is
for someone to prescribe without taking a full case.

This used to be a thriving list until the Classical Homeopaths were driven
away by endless rounds of non Classical discussions. It would be great if
once again this list started to thrive and Hahnemann's teachings became
readily available to students and badly trained homeopaths.

Best regards
Kerry

Sorry to say this, but Minutus itself has become an "anything goes" list.
That is why so many people who used to post no longer do so. The purpose
of a list as I see it is for discussion amongst colleagues, about a mutually
agreed on subject. Homeopathy is renamed, redefined, and changed so
frequently in application that many discussions here look like a group of
people talking in different languages.

Homeopathy rests on application of the law of similars based on effective,
practical case-taking, use of proving symptoms for knowledge of medicines,
and appropriate posology. It rests on working according to rules set out
very clearly by Hahnemann in the Organon. It's not a religion, not a
spiritual practice, and not a tool for pseudo-psychoanalys is - merely a very
useful medical therapeutic that requires careful study and application.

I don't really contribute anymore, although I do look from time to time,
because I don't feel there is any real interest in discussion of this boring
version of homoeopathy. New age hi-jacking of homoeopathy is much more
popular, essences, themes and face-mapping are much more interesting than
proving symptoms and their application. Sankaran and Scholten have much
more appeal than Hahnemann and Boeninghausen. Proving symptoms are rarely
studied carefully in qualifying courses for homoeopathy, Boenninghausen is
going through a mild revival which often misses the point of how and why he
developed the Therapeutic Pocket Book and how it should be used - but
knowledge of Sankaran and Scholten is a basic requirement to qualify as a
homoeopath in many schools around the world.

In the years I've been connected with Minutus I've seen the kind of argument
presented in this thread over and over. I've seen overwhelming support by
list members for using polypharmacy, and clear anger at those who protest
against it, over and over again. And that's only one issue.

This is just one list, but the dynamic of discussion in terms of subject
matter is very representative of what has been happening to the study,
practice and discussion of homoeopathy over the last few years. I have seen
certain personal comments been declared clearly beyond the pale, but not
much else with regard to the profession.

Many people on this list use other modalities in conjunction with or in
addition to homoeopathy. The rightness or the wrongness isn't the issue,
even if talking of polypharmacy - what is the issue is that there is no
clear agreement about what this list is discussing. So...with apologies to
moderators.. .as far as I can see, anything goes....

I'm in agreement with Vera's comments.

The list has not been strengthened by inclusiveness but is insipid and a
time-waster for anyone truly wanting to discuss and practice homeopathy.

It is no longer a list of 'colleagues' but just a general list
discussing all manner of things.

Soroush recently suggested discussing the Organon aphorism by aphorism
which would have been a useful exercise for new and seasoned members but
after consideration I decided not to comment because I thought it would
soon be dead in the water from discussions that turned homeopathy into
something its not.

The lack of a true discussion list on homeopathy is a big loss.

Soroush

Here's a rubric that Mangialavori uses: RECTUM; URGING, desire; violent (14) : asc-t.Hale1, atro.Hale1, carbn-s.Hale1, chel.Hale1, dios.Hale1, eup-pur.Hale1, fago.Hale1, lil-t.Hale1, merc-c.KentC, merc-cy.Hale1, myric.Hale1, polyg.Hale1, ptel.Hale1, uran-n.Hale1

I've included the authors so you can make your own deductions about how useful it might be.

Peace,
Dale
