Infant prophylactic vitamin K supplementation

Dear all,

I am due to deliver my first baby in July 2011 and am currently going over the routine procedures at the hospital I have selected for natural birth.

Do you have any information on the vitamin K supplementation given to babies at birth? I have read contrasting views on the matter, so your guidance will be very useful.
