once upon a time in the land of Minutiae (oops, sorry, Minutus) there were 3 buddies (1, 2, and 3) who met up, in close contact, to discuss aetiology of disease
one (1) of them had smallpox
the others (2 and 3) were relatively healthy, however.......
the parents of 2 had suffered themselves badly with smallpox, treated with antibiotics and all sorts of other nasty drugs that made them considerably worse but somehow, in the course of time, they survived
number 3, just prior to their up close and cosy little meeting, had been of exceptional rude health but had suffered the most terrible trauma and tragedy - both her parents had been killed in an air crash (this is fictional, no animals were harmed and no actual person depicted) and although physically healthy at the time she was seriously emotionally damaged
number 2 stayed well and never developed sx of smallpox
poor old number 3 though soon began to get ill showing all the signs of smallpox
questions:-
what was the cause
what awakened a latent susceptibility, i.e. the true cause
what needs to be cured?
This story is analogous to one who is in an abusive relationship and develops the need for alcohol as an outlet and in time begins to show physical signs of alcohol abuse - what is the cause here, the alcohol bugs or something else.
Anyway 1, 2, and 3 (who was treated by an excellent Hahnemannian homeopath and was cured not only of the smallpox but also the underlying cause) rode off into the sunset finally understanding what causes disease, they read avidly about Fundamental Cause, Exciting Cause, Maintaining Cause and, let's not forget Primary Cause. They re-read § 80 and 81 and finally began to understand the role that Psora also plays in this little story. (in your dreams)

Re: a little story entitled Bug's Life
I like your little story Joy! Especially the disclaimer "no animals were harmed...":)
But...yes; do look at Aph 80 and 81 again.
The first line of 81 talks about Psora thus: " The fact that this extremely ancient INFECTING AGENT has gradually passed, in some hundreds of generations..."
I rest my case.

True cause...
So if these bugs had lived e.g. here and now--where there are no
smallpox "germs" present--they would still have gotten smallpox?
That's what your use of "true cause" seems to say!
If you agree that they would probably *not* have gotten smallpox in
today's world, perhaps you would like to re-think the "true cause"
part? :-/
